Faithful. It is the most in depth.

I had a bizarre summer that year with a severe illness in my family and I had to do a lot of traveling and a lot of soul searching. The Red Sox were my escape that year (not like they aren't this year too, but it was more necessary that year), so having 2 people journal about each and every game makes that book pretty special to me.

i really liked "reversing the curse" if you can handle shaughnessy. I read it in 2 days, couldnt put it down. I haven't read any others though, so i dont know if it's necessarily the "best"

I like Now I Can Die In Peace by Bill Simmons (The Sports Guy).

Agreed...portions of Faithful were painfully boring for me. Not the subject matter, but the way in which it was written.

Faithful. I went and picked me up a copy after it had been out for a week. Couldn't put it down and finished it in about six days. I love how Stephen King and Stewart O'Nan go in-depth in all of the 2004 games. Naturally my favorite section is from Game 7 of the ALCS to Game 4 of the World Series. Ha ha.

The thing that sets Faithful apart is the genuine reaction you get from the ups and downs of the season. Thats what makes the Boston Red Sox movie that was released after the 2003 season so great too but obviously, Faithful ends a little better

Agreed. Faithful was simply an OK book, not bad, not great. Now I Can Die In Peace was the best because 1) Simmons is a great writer and 2) it was really, really funny.

I really like Faithful I'm reading it now and another good one was Reversing the Curse. Another great book is Blood Fued.
