0-2' date=' 2 Ks since the chin music. Dice-K is another Petey. Swagger, balls....where's his midget?[/quote']

According to a700 he plays 2B.

:D

What is concerning is your pessimism. This is likely the best order 1-6 in the past 10 years. These guys are amazing hitters. What the hell do you want? I would expect Dice to give up some runs against this team.

He isn't as sharp as he has been, but its a tie game, the yankees are in their pen and we can still get the W.

All the matters is the W. DiceK had multiple very good starts where he lost by giving up 2 runs. Tonight maybe he'll get the W and give up 4.

Are you concerned about Beckett and Schilling too?

I agree I'll shut up.

hasnt gotten the green card yet.

AND STOP WITH THE GYRO, HE SAID HE HAS NEVER THROWN IT IN A GAME BEFORE!

AND A FOSH IS A FORKBALL!

These guys coudl have a gyroball come into the booth, introduce itself to them, and describe its life history, and they would still call it a changeup-screwball.

Nothing like a Yankees series to make me appreciate how long baseball games can go. The early games were too short.

Here we go.

No kidding I am going to be lagging tommorow.

hhmmm K has a lot of pitches.... He even threw a gyro ball tonight didn't he?

SIT DOWN, A-ROD!

Anyway, example... I hope I didn't come off as attacking you or anything. That wasn't my intention. It's not that I don't think Drew has anything to prove...he does. In fact, I'm quite aware of the many reasons that people have to dislike Drew. I was more arguing the fact that Thumper's response didn't satisfy my question (nor his own views); not that Drew has already proved himself or that no one should have any reason to dislike him.

Don't shut up, but it just isn't fair to have unrealistic expectations of this guy. What he's going to do is he's going to pitch well enough to keep this team in games. He doesn't have Beckett's stuff but he is much more polished. He's 26, about a year before people are considered to be in their prime.

As he learns the hitters and umps and strikezones more he will only get better.

His work against A-Rod has been impressive thus far.

I think Morgan and Miller each had a labotomy between their playing career and their broadcasting career.

Let's see what Mr. Drew has to offer now.

I feel your pain man. When you gotta be up at 5:30 the 8 oclock games really suck.

The gyro is such a joke now...whenever my friends and I play wiffleball, no matter what a pitch does that someone throws, if the batter swings and misses, without fail someone from the outfield yells "Yo dude...that was SURELY the gyro!"

A Drew HR here would be huge...Matsu NEEDS a freaking victory.

He's a rookie. Give him a break.

Save your intellectual rigor for people like a700. He likes it. :harhar:

disagree completely. He doesnt have Beckett's fastball, but I like Matsuzaka's repertoire much more than Beckett's.

Miller played baseball? Was he a catcher? Or a ball?

I want Drew running here...

You have a pitcher without much of a move and a catcher who was relatively banged up earlier in the game. Drew has speed, and this game could be decided by one run. Get him in motion.

Company has left. Gameday is off. ESPN on. When did the Yankees pick up Pvt Pile as a pitcher?

I know how you feel about Beckett. Matsuzaka's repetoire is MUCH better, without it he wouldn't be here. He doesn't have beckett's fastball or curve. He has 4 pitches that are better though, and better command, plus a better and more deceptive delivery.

When I say "stuff" I mean just pure, unadulterated STUFF. Heat, movement, whatever. Very few people have Beckett's stuff. He would impress you more quickly if you just stumbled onto one of his bullpen sessions. DiceK impresses in games and with his ability to work a variety of hitters. I think that will play better over the longrun for sure.

I don't think we disagree. I think Matsuzaka is the Sox best pitcher.
