That's honest. I think there are some players you can safely get attached to. Trot isn't one of them. Ortiz, Papelbon, DiceK, Varitek, Manny (though it may be fleeting).

Nixon wasn't "sent" to Cleveland. We weren't going to sign him anyway. We wanted Drew from the moment he left LA, and we were gonna get him. Oh and by the way, he's been superb.

It's not a good answer. He said he disliked Drew when he was in LA. His attachment to Trot should have nothing to do with his dislike for a player on the other side of the country in a different league.

I always liked his fielding. I still watch him in Cleveland from time to time. I know his hitting wasn't the greatest, but he came through most of the time. I'll miss him, that's for sure.
