It's not a good answer. He said he disliked Drew when he was in LA. His attachment to Trot should have nothing to do with his dislike for a player on the other side of the country in a different league.

 

Thumper, so why do you dislike Drew? I'll give you one more chance.

Drew had a bad reputation in LA and in ATL and STL and PHI. I don't blame people for not liking him for being a cocky, not-hard-working kid who held out to go to the team he wanted to go to. However, he's no longer young and his signing in boston, to me, is indicative that this is the team he wants to "settle down" and continue his maturation with.

 

This kid has all-world skills. I've had a very open mind about him, as replacing Trot is a GREAT thing. RF has been a void the past few years and the only reason we didn't replace him was because of peoples' love of Trot, in my opinion.

Haha. So that he doesn't look like an idiot. His honest answer was "I was too attached to Trot." My question was "Why do you dislike Drew?"

 

He said he disliked him in LA. He basically said his reasoning behind disliking Drew when he was in LA was because he was too attached to Trot. His "honest answer" doesn't make sense.

I hear ya SOTK, and I'm not going to take a bullet for his views. I just understand that Drew does have some proving of himself to do for any number of reasons. As we both know, with sox fans, if you produce, your past doesn't really matter in the present.
