Jackson' date=' do you know if they're scheduling Joba's outings, and, if so, is he pitching tonight?[/quote']

Havent heard anything, but I wouldnt be surprised. To be honest, I'd love to see if Edwar can handle the 7th, then depending on how well he does either Vizcaino in the 8th if it is 1 run or Joba if it is 2+.

He is striking out 17 per 9 in the minors, he is doing something right. And I am not the only one. A few of the ESPN guys (I know, I know) think he could be something special.

BTW, JOBA is warming.

Haha, OK, I gotcha. Edwar's change is obviously something special, he'll just need to get a little more consistent with his fastball (although I'm only going on what he did in the majors, and that's tainted by lack of use).

But, as you said, Joba is warming up.

OK, again, it's unfair to break down every inning this kid pitches, but I just can't help it.

First Batter: Low and away fastball on the first pitch, really good location, grounded to first.

Second Batter: Didn't show great command of his fastball. Threw a 2-1 fastball right on the outside corner, was up, might have gotten a generous call. Once it got to 2-2 Joba had him.

Third Batter: Middle of the plate, 1-0 fastball, lined right to A-Rod. Got a little lucky there.

You do not want to get to two strikes against him if you're a batter. I'm expecting to see him in the eighth, and he'll be facing some better hitters, especially if V-Mart gets up. This is a good chance to string together a bunch of off days for Vizcaino.

6-1 now. EDWAR FOR THE NINTH GODDAMNIT' date=' DONT LET HIM ROT!!![/quote']

1.) We have to get to the ninth first with that lead.

2.) Mo hasn't pitched since Monday. The Yankees really want to win this game, considering this wasn't a game where the pitching matchup favored them. On top of that, they don't want Mo to fall into a pattern like in the first half.

Mattingly didnt have much to do. Hughes was filthy, Joba was unreal and Mo was Mo. It is very easy when you crush the opposing pitching and dont give up s***. BTW, Joba was DIRRRRTY. He could be what Zumaya was to the tigers last yr. 96-99mph heat with a 88-90mph slider that has a 1 to 7 break. It really is filthy.

I was just kidding about the Mattingly thing, because of how many people want Joe gone.
