I'd say that is pretty good bat control. Nice screen capture Rdsxmbnt. I wish I knew how to do s*** like that.

Wow. The Angels announcers were just saying that if Garrett Anderson hit a grand slam, he would set an Angels club record for most RBIs in a game (10) and he would be the Angels' all-time leader in grand slams. Well, right after one of the announcers finished his sentence, he hit a grand slam.

18-5.

Wow, well, this has not gone well. Mussina continued to go to curve after curve even though it was either out of the zone or he was hanging it.

As bad as the Yankees have been against the Angels in recent years I honestly don't remember them sweeping the Yankees in Anaheim. Kind of surprising. Big spot for Pettitte tomorrow (second straight really important start for Pettitte). Unfortunately it comes against the Angels ace.

Monday's game was so important because Escobar and Lackey were slated to pitched the next two games. Monday didn't work out and now the series has really taken a turn for the worse.

How are the Angels getting hits off of future HOF Edwar Ramirez????

For what it's worth, there are Yankee fans that want to see a guy pitch a little with the big club before they begin to drool over him.

He's got a great change, but, as I've said many times before, there was a reason there must have been a reason why the Angels let him go twice.

Kudos to yankees228 for actually coming to the board while his team is taking it in the ass. I have a feeling we won't be hearing from Gom until the next time the Sox lose and Yanks win.

I actually like to talk about the losses much more than the wins, and this is the only place where I post.

I know, I was making a joke.

He didnt have that changeup with the angels. He was a guy who relied on an average FB and a below average breaking ball. Either way, he'll have his troubles like any rookie, but he is still striking guys out.

after posada hit the 2run shot to tie the game monday i thought the yanks would come back and win

the angels just kept attacking and got them in 10

last nite the angels were on them early again then ny came back and made it respectable for a 1/2 inning

then the angels hit another gear and it was over

27 runs in 2 games?

last time mussina was pulled that early was in 95 when i was 6'2 185lbs happy and single

now im married 12 years and 5'10 220

just a reminder how hard time hits some of us

i pulled the old suit out for a wedding this weekend and thought it belonged to my kid

thank god for good tailors

as for mussina

who the f*** knows

he was on after the break but his last 2 efforts have been weak and hes been nothing short of inconsistant over the entire year.

the west coast blues have gotten into the yankee pen heavy and its only game 2

it would be a shame if petite got lit up early tonight

wow' date=' Mussina had nothing. Villone had even less. Why can we never beat these f***ing guys.[/quote']

Because the Yankees are more flawed (and have been more flawed) than most here are willing to admit over the past few years. The Angels have your number for whatever reason and always seem to excentuate the Yankees' weaknesses. Such as long relief and starting pitching.

I would venture to say that we are less flawed than most every other team in the AL right now. The problem is, we spent the first hundred games being one of the most flawed teams in the AL. Sucks to wait for the big run and find out it wasnt enough.

I always thought that Cashman started the season sort of light on starting pitching. I have no clue how he could have counted on Pavarno and Igawa. I think he did right not to pursue Zito - but may be a Ted Lily the sox killer could have got the job done.

I can take losing one game in the standings after a series in Anaheim. It probably could have been much worse (I don't want to know how, I just know it could have been.)
