Wang's sinker is flat. How it's only a 3-3 game is beyond me.

It's beyond me too. What's also beyond me is how he is immune to criticism from Yankee fans.

Uh oh, I would not let him face Casey. Edwar would be a good matchup for him.

EDIT: Nice play Robbie!! Wang gets the luck he needed.

EDIT 2: Joe is really asking for trouble if he leaves Wang in the 7th.

Bad situational hitting by Matsui.

EDIT: That's nine hits already against Wang. I thought his name was supposed to be mentioned amongst the elite pitchers in the AL...

Wang was solid early, hit a s***** patch, then finished solid in the 6th. He isnt a dominant force and he is in a rough patch. We have to hope that sinker comes back.

Way to go Betemit!

Bases clearing double, 9-3 Yankees. We win another series. Looks like Boston is going to lose this one, their lead down to 4, and they are heading to Tampa Bay, where they will fall apart and lose two of three. By the time we get to Boston, that lead will be down to two. [i can hope, at least].

Same prediction before the last TB series. Same prediction before the next too, I'd put good money on it. Same 6 times next year. He'll get it right one of these times, and do f***ing cartwheels patting himself on the back. Never run across a more pathetic individual in my life. Pure comedy.

You guys barely pulled that series out of your ass. You came back down 1-0 in the ninth to win one game, and were losing 6-0 before rallying and losing. You guys look worse every day. I wouldn't be shocked if you get swept. I was hoping for TB to get two last time, now I'm expecting it this time.

We showed we could wear down and hit Verlander

We showed we could could hit Nate Robertson

We showed we could hit Durbin after an adjustment period.

We showed we could hit Bonderman as well.

Rogers and Miller are on the DL as well.

We are in line to face

Jurriens

Verlander

Robertson

Durbin in Detroit.

Zumaya will be back at that time though, making their awful pen more formidable. While we will be sending Clemens, Wang, Hughes, and Moose. I wouldnt be surprised if we take 3 of 4 again.

But in our way is the Angels series, which always gives me angina. Not in our favor as well is that we face their top 2 pitchers in that series without throwing Clemens or Wang.

Tell you the truth, Pettitte is our hottest pitcher. Truth be told, this is not the old Yankees team they will be facing. Our kiddie bullpen corps seems to be solid so far. They went to Boston and could only get a split. These Yankees aren't the pathetic sticks the Sox are.

It comes down to the next seven games. We have 3 in Anaheim and 4 in Detroit. The Red Sox have 3 in Tampa and 4 in Chicago. If we gain even one game, we win the division. I'm seriously hoping we don't lose ground. I'll take 4-3 in a heartbeat.

is this intentional comedy or is it just uncanny?

It's an even 4 games back. Can't wait to go to next Thursday's game for my girlfriend's birthday. Hopefully by the end of that day we'll be in 1st place.

PS- I think Seattle is part deity. They never lose.

It's all comedy. You outscored the Devil Rays by three runs in three games, and five of your runs came when you were pretty much out of the game and trailing by six runs. Yup...comedy.

Yeah, I guess the Devil Rays should mop the floor with us then. Considering Baltimore won the last 2 series against the Yankees, I fully expect them to destroy you guys again.

To tell you the truth, I am deathly scared of Baltimore. I fear them a shitload more than I fear your team. Say what you want, but they took four of six from the both of us in six straight games. I would be scared of them if I was you as well.

Since you seemed pretty insistent on pointing out that we had to make comebacks to win 2 out of 3 vs Tampa, need I point out how Baltimore took 2 out of 3 from the Sox? Thanks for coming out.

Are you kidding? The O's have two good young starters, which means they are a good young team with two good SPs. A good young team with two good starters? Hmm, who else is like that?

First of all, the Orioles are +7 in run differential, they are much better than their record, which is well under .500. Bedard is the best pitcher in the AL East, Guthrie is very solid, and Cabrera might just have the best stuff of the three....very capable of shutting anyone down, and just as likely to be out of the game in the first 3 innings.

Figures ORS would think the Orioles and Tampa Bay are similar. Any other garbage you got floating in your head?

That being said, I fear the Orioles right now more than the Tigers or the Red Sox. They seem to have our number.

We dont hit Bedard and we dont hit Cabrera, we typically just wait for him to implode by walking people, and until the last series, we didnt touch Guthrie. The Jays dont scare me, and right now the sox dont either. But LAA and BAL do.

Kazmir against Wake should be a good one. Wake with no Belli against a team that he typically dominates against a pitcher that typically dominates the sox. Toss up.

Vegas has this one as a toss-up. Good call Jacko.

...is it wrong?

Tampa Rotation

Kazmir 3.44

Shields 4.22

Jackson 5.69

Sonnanstine 6.17

Weong Seo 8.13

2 solid starters, 3 bad ones.

Baltimore Rotation

Bedard 2.98

Guthrie 3.50

Cabrera 4.93

Trachsel 4.81

Burres 4.45

2 solid starters, 3 bad ones.

I feel to realize how this is a bad observation.

Could that guy be more stupid? Holy s***...he believes the back three of the Devil Rays is equivalent to the back three of the Orioles.

Hey idiot, do you realize that EVERY SINGLE MATCHUP, 1v1, 2v2, etc., is in the Orioles favor?

How did your genetic configuration survive evolution?

That had to be as dumb a post as I have ever seen. I am actually shocked that someone posted the numbers that he did, and then made THE COUNTER ARGUMENT. Oh my God, I have seen it all.

Yeah, the back 3 in Tampa are bad. The back 3 in Baltimore aren't as bad, they're also not very good either.

Yeah..who else has 2 good starters? Kazmir and Shields, could they be 2 good starters?

Yeah. Baltimore's back 3 are better. Doesn't mean ORS's statement was wrong, jackass.

I didn't say they were equivalent. I said they're all bad. And they are. Only one you could really make a case for not being bad is Burres, and he's had a limited number of starts.

Cabrera-Trachsel-Burres is obviously better than Jackson-Sonnanstine-Weong Seu. I'm not disputing that. The point is that Tampa has 2 solid starters in Kazmir and Shields and not much past that, and that Baltimore has 2 solid starters in Bedard and Guthrie and not much past that.
