Melky has really become a solid CFer. Thanks for being a bit banged up Damon. Cause Melky is worlds better as a CFer.

Who would have thought after Trot Nixon hit a sinking liner to CF in July of 2005?

Anyone who realizes that one misplayed ball doesn't equal a s*** career?

Don't forget, Wang is no Matsuzaka. It is blasphemy to even mention such things here.

The Wang haters dont really know what they are talking about. People like to try and make comparisons, but there arent any to make. Last night was a clear example of why Wang is extremely unique. He certainly has the stuff to strike people out. He seems to get his K's when he needs them. But why go for the K with nobody on base? 104 pitches for 9 innings. I'll take that over the 7 innings most power pitchers get through at the same pitch count.

i was looking up fielding stats , jeter is one of the worst defensive SS in the leauge at the moment , and actually has cost his team 7 runs allready ,if he gets another GG this year its ridiculus, and everytime i watch a game all you hear from the announcers" wow jeter is a great defender " f***ing BS , f*** he's last in ZR and the second most errors at 11

By the way, you have to give Torre some credit about the Tuesday game. He took Clippard out early, so he could go to Proctor, and make the game shorter. He probably thought that with Wang going the next day against a struggling White Sox offense, he wasn't going to need to use a lot of the bullpen. Well, Wang went out there and pitched a complete game, and Torre was able to get a win on Tuesday.

holy s*** the white sox have a weak lineup

It's not for a lack of good hitters, it's more of the fact that they're in a collective slump.

yes and no.. yeah theres a few that are slumping but but if you look at their lineup other than their 3,4,5 hitters its pretty week . their dead last in run scored

Their sixth hitter is Paul Konerko, when he's right he's pretty darn good. Tad Iguchi can also be pretty solid out of the two spot. On top of that, Darin Erstad and Scott Podsednik are both on the DL.

Atta boy Mussina, nice play.

EDIT: Anything could change, but Moose looks quite sharp through the first three innings.

Paul konerko dosent bat 6 , he bats cleanup 4, and yes erstad and podsednik are on the DL wich = week lineup

Actually, that's not true. Since Thome has come back there lineup has been Owens, Iguchi, Thome, Dye, Pierzynski, and Konerko.

im referring to tonights game where konerko is in 4

Im not really surprised that the yankees pitching has been good against the white sox... while yes it does have a lineup of good hitters, they are still the worst hitting team in baseball at .233. Pitching should remain solid when the Pirates come to town

The last time we faced the White Sox, our pitchers heated up their bats. So it is give and take. Mussina has very good control tonight, so regardless of the team, I'd expect him to have success. This much, maybe not, but he is on tonight.

Mussina is locating everything. The heat isnt there, but he is featuring 2 different curves, something I havent seen before. His loopy knuckle curve and then a harder power curve that he has used when he needs the K.
