Clemens had a pretty good numbers today, I didn't see it so I can't really comment on how he looked but his line was 6 IP's, 6 K's, 2 H's, 2 BB's, 0 R's. Doesn't look like they'll give him another minor league start and he'll either make his debut at Fenway or against the White Sox.

As for the actual game tonight, the Yanks are losing 1-0 in the top of the fourth after a Lyle Overbay home run. DeSalvo looks better this start than his last start and the relief appearance. A-Rod got a leadoff double to start the fourth, but Posada just flied to left on a 3-2 pitch, failing to move A-Rod to third. Dustin McGowan looks really good so far.

EDIT: And the inning ends with A-Rod still at second...

They aren't dead until they're 14 games out with 13 left to play.

the reality is theyre playing like a team that quit

mathematically theyre alive till probably 9-15

but inside their heads too many have quit, including their manager i feel

we hear will not deem them dead till the #s prove it,premature speculation hurts when youre wrong

but the writing is clearly on the wall

This team will not start to come back until something significant happens. In a lot of years they have had a young unknown offensive player who comes up and adds something different, something to root for. This year those guys have all been pitchers, which is nice but much more difficult than playing a serviceable 2nd base and hitting a walk-off homerun to get the team going.

There just isn't any spark and nobody on the team who can provide them the spark. Not a single person. A-Rod had the hottest start in history and he still isn't leading them. It's a bunch of all-stars without any charisma, other than, of course, Jeter and Posada. Their pitching is mediocre at best and already pitching like it's late July or August.

With the way this team looks I don't blame you for folding it in Jacksonianmarch. Of course, with the way baseball is played one can be proved foolish for doing just that. Who knows.

Honestly, Farnsworth is just what the Sox could use. A righty power arm.

Let Farrell work his magic.

I heard cashman is looking for a half a tin of skoal and a black tail mag in return. Theo is trying to determine if it will be cherry or mint.

Giambi,AROD,Abreu,Farnsworth,MO,Posada should all be available. The only reason I say Mo and Posada cause there FA at seasons end. You guys could get tons of prospects at the TDL if your GM has the balls to pull the trigger. By trading of those guys you could solidify your farm sysyem and your team for the next 10 yrs. I don't see Cashman showing the balls to do it tho, but imagine what you could get in return for those guys. I would be very scared of the Yankees for a long time to come.

Another thought is, get something for AROD while you can, because he now has an anothoer excuse to leave town, the Yankees suck and look like they need to rebuild. He won't stick around for that, and it pretty much gives him a free pass out of town because if you want to win a championship and your team is in such shape as the Yankees, no one would blame him for bailing.

Skoal sucks, he should atleast get a quater can of Copenhagen...

I try to keep watching these games, but it's almost impossible. You spend the entire time waiting for them to screw up, wondering who is going to be at fault in this game. On the Lot is much more entertaining....
