No, I am guessing that in one game the royals will battle the red sox and then get into their soft as puppy s*** middle relief and may pull one out. It is in KC, so I figured a sweep may be a bit much to ask for. Then again, the sox are notorious for being red hot out of the gate. I am just saying, I see in now way, shape or form the sox losing this series. Better?

Two of three? Jacko should be doing back-flips if they don't sweep with those pitching matchups.

We'll see ORS. That is why they play the games, and the games are tomorrow. Jesus christmas, best time of the yr.

We have to turn the tide against KC as they have won 5 of the last 6 against us, or something like that. But it's a new season and the team is healthy so we should sweep.

I can't wait for tomorrow and tonight is the Opener for the Cards and Mets so that's gonna get e pretty pumped for tomorrows game.... and I don't have anything going on during the first 3 games(like work), so I can watch them...

I'm really interested to see Beckett pitch, I have a strong feeling that he will turn things around in his second year in the AL because he will use more of his secondary pitches... Also Dice-K for obvious reasons...

We will take at least 2 of 3 for sure. We usually have trouble Opening Day, for whatever reason (with the exception of last year). I hope for a sweep, and I think it is very plausable, but to think the Royals can win 1 is not out of the question.

Octavio Dotel will not be available on Opening Day because of his strained left oblique muscle.

The Royals will decide Wednesday whether to place him on the DL. "There is a chance that he could be put on the disabled list," manager Buddy Bell said. "We don't think it is a long-term situation." Bell didn't say who would close while Dotel is out, but David Riske looks like the top option

Theyre bullpen just looks weaker. Batters' eyes will light up if Riske is the closer at beginning of the season. Didnt both the White Sox & Guardians avoid using him late in the game?

Riske had a better yr overall than any reliever not named Paps currently in your pen.

I know, I know your rant that every reliever (not including papelbon) will have 5+ ERAs. So you think Riske can be a good closer for the Royals then

Going to be a great opening series kinda wished they would put the Thursday game on tv here so I could see Matsuzaka pitch. They have the Wednesday game coming on but the Maple Losers are on Thursday night. Oh well at least I'll still get to see Beckett pitch.

Let's just win that first freakin' game and go from there. I never like to look farther than one game with the Red Sox. Get Schilling out there to pitch as he did in ST, give him some decent offensive support and give Papelbon a two or three run lead going into the last inning and go from there. Worry about the second game after the first one. To me that's the only way to look at it.:D :D :D :D :D :D

Anything less than a sweep would be pretty pathetic. Schilling' date=' Beckett, Dice-K. Those should be easy wins against KC.[/quote']

We were all saying the same thing last season; but it is a new season and I hope we kick K.C. to the curb.
