Rituals and Superstitions?

Do any of you have Rituals or Superstitions for watching or playing baseball?

 

My ritual for the Red Sox is that I don't cut my hair but 2 times. Once in April and again in August, and my hair grows out fast so it gets all wild and what not.

 

When I pitch, I have to hear "Thunderkiss '65" when walking to the mound, otherwise, bad luck.

uhh, I dont think I have any rituals, but I guess u could say I get really into the game...

sometimes I feel like they can hear me through the TV, haha...

 

but I will admit that during the game I wouldn't do something (can't think of anything right now) because I would feel like it would mess things up... idk...

I don't tuck my jersey in until the pitcher of either team takes the mound in the top of the first.

 

I do a secret handshake with my teammate before I go up to bat each time.

 

When I get into the batter's box, I step out with one foot, adjust my helmet, go back in, practice swing, step out, adjust my helmet again and check my batting gloves, then step back in and tap the plate at the bottom corner with my right arm two times.

well if Im playing, I step into the box, adjust, tap the plate, spin the bat out turns the mound twice with my left hand (since Im a righty) then once with both settle into my batting stance and kinda rock by tapping my foot up and down and moving my hands in a smooth rhythm, Ive been told I move a lot in the batters box, haha...

When pitching I listen to my Ipod during warm ups (Thunderstruck, Sandman, etc.) and I leave my pant legs down until the game starts and then I put up my right before my left. I scrape the inner rubber 6 times before an inning. Never step on the foul lines.

When hitting I use two bats on deck, weigh both, drop the heavier one. I use the same bat until I get an out. I dig in my right foot then my left, hit the upper right corner of the plate then do 3 johnny damon/nomar/manny swing things.

When watching the Sox I keep adjusting my seat until they start doing good. At game 5 of the 04 ALCS, me and my friend kept singing sweet Caroline udner our breaths befoe every pitch.

My wind up is exactly like Curt Schilling's. I've basically learned all my techniques from him. He's my pitching idol ha ha.

When im watching the game my ritual is to just make sure that I'm wearing my Red Sox jersey. And when playing I always tap the plate on the right and left side.
