If that's true, LAA is getting a pretty sweet deal. There getting a solider #2 Starter and a 3B thats hitting his prime. Yes there giving up Santanna, but since he isn't proven so him and Garcia cancel each other out, Crede is much better then Figgins, so I think there may be some prospects in the deal somewhere if theres a deal.

As bosoxnation said, Garcia is a solid #2 starter, and Crede is a very good 3B with 30 homer, 100 RBI power, and a good glove.

 

Figgins is my favorite player out of this deal...can play anywhere, 50 steal potential. Santana has nasty stuff.

If that deal does go down then the White Sox are getting the steal in that trade. You get a young guy like Santana who has won 28 games in his first two years in the bigs has 240 K's in his first two years and has amazing stuff and is still what 23 and can only get better and better, and then you have Figgins who can easily steal 50 + bases in a year and has great speed and great range in the Field. Don't get me wrong Garcia and Crede are great players but the White Sox are stealing it in this one.

Chicago wins this one. They dump two potential free agents for five more years of Ervin Santana. They can replace Crede with Fields.

Edge has to go to ChiSox. Although this trade will benefit the Angels more this year, the potential of Santana is still high. Garcia, Crede, and Figgins have all peaked. How good this deal turns out for the Sox is directly related to Santana's growth.

This leans to the Sox hands down. Williams wont deal with Crede next year anyway because his agent is Boras, and Fields is close to ready. Freddy has been extremely iffy, so you get someone who is iffy and younger, and Figgins can replace the speed they need from Pods.

If CHW pull off this deal, Kenny Williams should got to prison for Grand Theft Pitcher! It´s a nice deal for them, they get rid of two potential FA, for a speedy, can play anywhere player in Figgins and a Stud pitcher that they have control over at low cost for years to come. They need a new pitching staff, Ozzie road those poor bastards like a mule the last two seasons.
