It should be a forgone conclusion that Pedroia can not be a full time starter at shortstop, let alone he is the most obvious choice to be the starting 2nd baseman come opening day. Id say the Sox are now gunning hard for Julio Lugo. If they arent able to sign him as well. Options after Lugo are Rich Aurilia, Craig Counsel and a last ditch trade. Cora is dead last in the options to be their starter
