Why are you people even here discussing the yankees at a redsox fan website? Honestly why? Even if the Yankees win the WS, in which I highly doubt they will because A-rod and their pitching sucks! , will you people be here bitching and moaning about every yankee game until they are eliminated? Sox fans it Patriots season!!! Giants and Jets SUCK!

Yankees will be eliminated soon, and a dark cloud will float over the Bronx that is 10X darker than the one over Boston,

IT'S FOOTBALL SEASON BITCHES!!!!

Yankees fans, go cheer for your team at a yankees forum!!!

If yankee fans reply to this post, the yankees will lose 2 staright in detroit. I went and saw a fortune teller...

That was one of the most idiotic posts I've ever seen. I also honestly thought that you were a Yankee fan based on past posts.

EDIT: Also, way to completely hi-jack the thread. I now return you all to your regularly scheduled discussion... the Tigers/Yankees ALDS.

Let's hear if for the Gambler!!

Kenny just shocked the s*** out of baseball fans all over the country. Did anyone see this happening?

Dear Yankees fans:

Your entire season of accomplishment in the face of adversity now rests on the pitching arm of Jaret Wright. Good luck with that.

Sincerely,

the Baseball Community

Dear Yankee Fans,

Shove it up your asses.

Sincerely,

Kenny Rogers

In addition to what YOTN said, Wright doesn't have the best history when a series is on the line....

In other news: A-rod is 1-11 in the series and 5-45 in his last 10 postseason games dating back to the last 3 games of the 2004 ALCS...Wow!!

Anyone heard if Mt. Steinbrenner has erupted yet?

If Kenny Rogers can pull anything out' date=' Jeret Wright sure as hell can[/quote']

Other than his reputation as a bad postseason pitcher, Kenny Rogers is a very good pitcher.

Jaret Wright is...

well, he's Jaret Wright.

Detroits' first postseason home game since 1987, and their first postseason shutout since the final game of the ALCS in 1984, 1-0 against the Royals.

It sounds funny mentioning the Royals in the postseason.

 Kenny Rogers......amazing

Anyway looking to tomorrow trying to be optimistic Jaret Wright I believe had a 2 ERA in September so he has pitched well and Jeremy Bonderman hasnt pitched well.

Also there have been times during the season where the Yankees have laid an egg weather it was losing 22-0 or getting bombed by the O's prior to the 5 game set in Boston and everytime they have anwsered the bell the next day. Tomorrow is a new day and you can bet Torre wont stick to that "Rivera is only a 1 inning pitcher" BS that he was talking about.

Rogers followed suit and dominated amidst his bad stats in the post season & facing his fomer team... Can the 24 year old Bonderman repeat & sweep away excuses of him not pitching as he should down the stretch?

Yes YoukoftheNation, it is always fun to see shutouts in the postseason.... especially when A-Rod helped the cause ;) Haha what a choker, thank youuuu theo for pulling out of that trade

thank youuuu theo for pulling out of that trade

Not so fast. It's more like "Thank you MLBPA for not allowing ARod to reduce his contract". Theo wanted to do that deal, and he was right to want to. ARod and Mags to replace Manny and the oft injured Nomar? Where do I sign up.

As Joe Morgan would say, good pitching beats great hitting, but great hitting beats good pitching, unless the pitching is also great, in which case the pitching beats the hitting.

But of course the Tigers are a fluke and he gives the Yankees the benefit of the doubt, they can still win the series in 3.
