Hey. I'm not going to lie, I'm a longtime Sox follower, but I'm only now declaring myself a fan. I'm from Northern California, and I've followed the A's and Giants for some time now, but I never really considered myself of fan of theirs either. I love the whole Red Sox organization, I love the tradition and the passion of the fans, and god damn it, I'm declaring myself a fan. Look forward to lurking and posting with you all.

I guess I deserve that bandwagon tag, but I promise you I'm not. I like that Red Sox fans seem to truly love the game and their team. I've endured plenty of games at SBC park where it seemed like half of the fans there had no idea what was going on or any concept of the history of the team.

 

Besides I understand the suffering that Sox fans once endured; I am a lifelong Golden State Warriors fan.

People don't tend to jump on bandwagons when a team isn't currently in the playoffs. That's just being a fan ... more of a fan than most of the people on this board.
