I am so glad that we have him through 2008, and that we let Damon and Pedro walk. We re-signed Tek when AJ could have been signed for chump change. AJ has a World Championship and we have a catcher that can't throw out another catcher.

Edit: They are 6 1/2 out of the wild card before today's game, and they have 5 teams ahead of them. It doesn't look like there is much hunt left for them.

Forget the hitting.....Varitek can't throw anyone out and Mark Loretta has limited range. Not only that but Loretta doesn't appear to have much more than a bunch of singles in his bat.
