Lance Bass of 'N Sync Reveals He's Gay

AP

NEW YORK (July 26) - Lance Bass, band member of 'N Sync, says he's gay and in a "very stable" relationship with a reality show star. Bass, who formed 'N Sync with Justin Timberlake , JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick, tells People magazine that he didn't earlier disclose his sexuality because he didn't want to affect the group's popularity.

Soxfan, what the hell?

Nice to see, I had been wondering how he was doing----let's hope he can pull it together because having a healthy, effective Foulke really helps our pen!

Hes not off the DL yet. He is going to pitch in Lowell on a rehab assignment.

Keith Foulke, after another bullpen session today, will be headed to Lowell on Friday for a rehab appearance with the team, which is home that day. It's just by coincidence -- we think -- but that happens to be the day that the Spinners are renaming themselves the "Mike Lowell" Spinners for the day, so Foulke will get his very own jersey with "Mike Lowell" stitched across the front. No word yet on whether or not he'll head to the concessions to grab a Mike Lowell double cheeseburger. After that brief stint in Lowell, Foulke should be headed to Pawtucket on Sunday for another rehab appearance.

Keith Foulke activated off of the Disabled List

Jermaine Van Buren sent down

If this is true, the news came out of nowhere. All of the reports lately have focused on Wells' soon return.

I see that jsinger's post says otherwise...

Are you sure? From what I saw more than half of the time, he looked just as bad as Seanez or Tavarez. He had his share of bright spots, but then again, so did Seanez and Tavarez.

His ERA was below 4.00 for a while. I think two bad outings skyrocketed his ERA. If he can get his elbow sorted out, he should be a key member of the bullpen.

Take from this what you can

April (13 appearances) 2-1, 3.71 ERA

17 innings, 11 Hits, 7 Runs, 1 HR, 2 Walks, 16 Ks

May- June (16 appearances)

15 innings, 24 Hits, 13 Runs, 4 HRs, 2 Walks, 7 Ks

On May 31st - 4.31 ERA

Two appearences later on June 11th - 5.63 ERA.

It's safe to say that Foulke was suffering from an elbow problem which hurt his performance.

I think Keith Foulke sucks and he's a head case. I'll be holding my breath when he goes out there but I do that anyways with Seanez and Tavarez.
Prior to 2005, he'd one of the best closers in 5 of the last 6 years.

Yes, thank you......I know what Keith Foulke used to be. After a year and a half of sucking...you start to wonder if he will ever be the same. His velocity has not been the same since 2004 and his control has been off. Having not pitched a lot for a few months I can't imagine he will suddenly gain 2004 success......but I hope he does

Dennis Eckersley sucked for several years before he reinvented himself as a top closer. The guy's been injured.

From the reports it sounds like Foulke will be coming back within a week. I’m not counting on a whole lot from him but if he’s at least close to how he started the season in effectiveness, then he’d be a better option than some of the other veterans. Bridging the gap to Paps has been a problem as of late so I hope he can step it up.

I’m wondering what the corresponding roster move will be when he comes back, presumably during the KC series. If Mirabelli is ready then it would be Miller sent back. If not who gets sent down…Hansen? DFA Seanez (who by the way has been effective now for a month, in mop up).

Miller will most likely go down Tuesday when Foulke comes back. If Mirabelli is still injured, then i would think Hansen gets sent down.
