ughhhh i knew Moose would be rusty. I always get nervous with these big leads and the opposing team being one that can hit.

Same here, no idea why really. Like if we were up by 4 in that situation, I wouldn't be nervous at all. Then I saw varitek coming up and was relieved.

Wow' date=' this sucks. This game could last a while, too, 1 hour 45 minutes for 3 innings.[/quote']

you know, 15 runs will do that for ya, and the bad part is the only way the Sox will win is to score 15 more

I can see the argument for Schilling but not Wakefield.

Wake is certainly more of our ace than Beckett is.

edit: Of course, that's moot. Schilling is our ace.

Well, Wake continues to go deep into games (most IP among our starting pitchers), giving us a chance to win every game. Schil's 73/9 K/BB ratio is amazing, though. Hopefully Beckett will regain his stuff sometime soon.

well, go Pauley tomorrow, this game is toast, and if we use any more decent pitchers, the series will be too,

This is the only time i will ever be ok with bringing in Seanez against the Yanks

And this one finally ends.....All I have to say is Beckett better learn how to become a pitcher instead of a thrower or this team could be in trouble.

Well it doesn't look like beckett get's it after last night. I saw an interview with him and all he kept saying was how good the yanks were and they hit good pitches. He said he did everything right in between starts and it just wasn't his night but he would be fine. Someone slap this guy and let him know he needs to change. he has all the potential in the world, but he may never realize it if this keeps up!

Wow you're made at the guy for not pouting after the game? The key to sports is never allowing yourself to get too high or too low. It's clear that Beckett wasn't happy with his performance but he didn't cry about it, or make excuses, he just said he'll be better next time. What more do you want from him? Would you like him to change his windup for road games ... or what?

I believe he's made it fairly obvious what he wants. Take the advice from guys like Schilling, who have attempted to help him. He's learning real quick that the AL East ain't the National League.

Another key to sports is using the opinions and advice of others to constantly improve yourself rather than keep the 'I do it my own way' attitude, particularly when it's not working.
