The "Dirt Dog" Squad

We all know these players, the really hard working guys. The guys that go out there and play for the love of the game, and they go face-to-face when they have to. You might think of guys like Nixon, Mueller, Varitek, Matsui, etc. Who are you're top Dirt Dog style players? I'd have to go with the following:

 

Jason Varitek, C

Derek Jeter, SS

Bill Mueller, 3B

Hideki Matsui, LF

Jim Edmonds, CF

Trot Nixon, RF

 

Seems like a Yankee, Red Sox, Cardinal affair mostly except for Mueller.

More or less guys who play, and in the case of Biggio, Jeter and Matsui, play their whole careers with one team. Guys who JUST play and dont mouth off to the media (Schilling), act like prima donnnas (A-Rod), or just come off as total douchebags (AJ Piersynksisisstsiytsitski)
