Nice play by Jeter.

 

But now we'll have to hear about how it's "another great play by Jeter", which means showing all of his other overrated plays over and over for the next week. Ugh.

 

Like the play where he bowled over Robinson Cano last year and everyone dubbed it "THE BEST PLAY IN THE HISTORY OF BASEBALL!!1!!!11"

Foolish Rivernator. A Yankee made it...that means it's an easy play that anybody (especially every single Sox player, including the immortal David Ortiz) could make blindfolded.

nope, im a jeter fan, and he definetly made that look more difficult than he was. hes always a little hungry for the grass stains. im not saying im not a fan. i like jeter, but that play could have been made without the monica lewinsky knee diving move.

I really can't say (because I can't see) but if it was anything like his dive into Cano, or even his dive into the stands play...it probably wasn't that great...

I hope that you were being sarcastic.

 

Saying something like Rivernator said is pointing out that almost all Jeter's good plays are dubbed as the greatest play ever, not that the play wasn't special.

In regards to the Jeter play... don't get me wrong, it was a nice play. I said it was nice when it happened -- but is it the 'greatest play ever' like ESPN will be saying it is? Hell no. Not even the greatest play of the last week.

they wont be saying that. It was a webgem and should be #1 for the week, but Iguchi's play was by far the best play I have seen in a long time...
