Because your "joke' was a joke. Seriously, TBS would hunt you down and kill you if you called their Funny Hotline with that.

You know it'd be funny if someone said that about a yankee, but alas I cannot force humor. One just has to have the sense.

No, it wouldn't. And, sadly, you just ain't got that sense.

crappy loss. this one stung. I'm starting to hate the blue jays. BJ Ryan really is an ugly guy and that delivery of his makes me want to puke. Does anyone else get sick when he throws the ball? Its ugly.

Hahaha, if only you knew.

Right, because I haven't been exposed to your attempts at humor here.

Well it appears the Toronto Blue Jays have our number this year. They are now 5-2 against us and unless Matt Clement can pitch in control tomorrow it may not be pretty. I love the defense our infield provides but Mark Loretta and Alex Gonzalez need to get those bats going.

it also sucks that papelbon's streak had to come to an end. all good things have to come to an end i guess. but, this loss is hard to swallow because i thought we had it. damn! oh well hopefully clement can get his s*** together for tomorrow.

why am I now sensing some posts by Riv that because he's been scored on for the 1st time, its back down to earth for him?

just a hunch he'd try and do that now ;)

Wow, terrible loss. Am i the only one though that thought that last pitch to tek was about 6inches off the plate? I know tek didn't argue, but i rewound it and looked again and it looked way outside. Who knows?

Let's hope clement can pull it together tommorow night!

Whatever, tough game. It was a good game for us though, IMO. Lowell and Pena have been hitting the f***ing s*** out of the ball, which can only mean more good things should come.

Papelbon blowing it doesnt worry me one bit. He was due to allow a run anyways.

That's the thing man. Mariano has terrible trouble in those situations as well. Closers get the mentality that the game will end when they pitch one inning. Some guys have trouble when the game is tied, because that killer instinct is gone. Remember, the kid is a rook and he will have his lumps. Being a closer is a bruising mental task and hence why so many of them burn out quickly and guys like Mo are becoming anomalies instead of the rule. Your kid has the potential to be a killer closer, but he has to show he can bounce back from it. I think he will, because he has one of the best mentalities of any rookie I have seen. He's good, but no closer saves or wins every game....

    toronto , im sick of getting beat by toronto , that dosent surprise me that paps first earned run comes against them f***ing jays, ah well we knew paps streak was gonna end sooner or later, the only thing that pissed me off in this game is gonzo's inability to bunt , i mean come on he better start learning cause he will be doing lots of it cause his bat sucks, ortiz can bunt better than that, we should have scored more runs that inning :thumbdown

If gonzo is gonna be in that lineup, he better be able to do everything they tell him to do. We have to suffer from his awful offense, which brings down the team and creates pressure for the pitchers. Gonzo really isn't our solution at short

actually before last night, Paps had thrown like 10 scoreless innings in his career against the Blue Jays. He'll bounce back on his feet.
