I'll be the first to admit I may have been wrong. I was not a Adam Stern fan and I ripped him apart saying I didn't think the kid could hit or field that well. After watching that performance the kid has some serious gutts. I still have my doubts but I loved the attitude I saw from him and he looked like a team leader for Canada.....I like that a lot.

He's the rule 5 guy they grabbed from the Braves, right? He's got to stay on the Sox roster for like the first 5 weeks to start the season so he should get his chance to shine if he's finally turned a corner.

he needs to stay on the roster for 17 days, and will probably never be an important factor for the Red Sox. He will see very limited playing time with Coco here.

Yeah in 17 days I doubt Stern will do much more than pinch run, and possibly spell trot once.

He's what? 5 for 7 in the classic with 6 rbis and 2 hrs? And if he winds up being some folk hero for Canada the Sox will have to give him a longer look.

Yeah I agree, plus he's 26 years old. He's either just coming into his own, or a year away from it. I think if he keeps up his performance in the WBC they'll definatly take a closer look.
