Which is a bad idea. Jeff DaVannon. Eric Byrnes would have been nice too. But DaVannon fits the mold we need.

 

 

Arroyo for Ryan Church anyone?

 

 

That's a rip-off for us, they'd have to add John Patterson or a top prospect to get that done. Arroyo is a proven starter and Church wasn't ROY talk this year. We'd have to get much more.

WEEI reports today that GM Theo Epstein never signed a contract to return to the Sox as he only had a verbal agreement with John Henry.

Theo is a lawyer. That must be one hell of a verbal agreement.

 

Maybe it means that there is the promise of a new title that is currently being occupied and Henry doesnt want that revelation commited to paper.

Interesting.... Guess this means that Theo could walk at any time should he feel the least bit undermined by anyone. In a way, I like it. In another way, it scares the bejesus out of me.
