Sutter? He wasn't even the best RP on the ballot. Goes to show that those that write about the sport don't really know jack about the sport.

Speaking of which, check out the ballots of the ESPN crew. ESPN.com's HOF Ballot

Look at the bottom three ballots. Albert Belle? Dale Murphy? Lee Smith? but those voters didn't vote for anyone else. What a farce.

Well those people are automatically on the ballot I believe because they had 10 years of MLB service. DiSarcina didn't get a vote but who the hell voted for Walt Weiss?

Wow, still no Jim Rice.

Don Mattingly? Shouldn't he be higher than that? Is this his first year on the ballot?

Not only should Will Clark still be on the ballot, he should be making a speech this summer. Rice doesn't deserve it I hate to say it.

And Blyleven!!!!! COME ON!!!

I agree with Rice not getting in.

If Rice had just 1 more season where he batted, say: .315, 18 Hr, 49 Rbi, 27 2b, 51 R (and that's not even a great year) then his final career numbers would be something like this:

.300 BA, 400 HRS, 1500 RBI, 400 2B, 2500 H, 1300 R

I think that would have done it. He's so close to milestones with all his numbers it's stupid.

The only thing I remember about Dave Concepcion is that there was at least one of his baseball cards in EVERY stinking pack of cards I bought.... <_>

I think Rice and Gossage should have gotten in. I like Blyleven a lot but dont think he deserves it. Happy for Sutter that he finally got it.

Hopefully next year for Goose.

Rice got snubbed again. 2008 and 2009 are probably his best and last chances to do it until the veterans committee votes him in which I am pretty sure they will considering they voted in Tony Perez and Orlando Cepeda, players with similar numbers to Rice.

I think Jim Rice should have made it, but you have to give credit to Bruce Sutter because he was the first one ever to throw a split and he really invented that pitch, he's definately HOF.
