Ok, so I'm a big football jersey fan and I love wearing them, as long as it's an awesome player and not too common (some exceptions are my beloved Pats). I don't care about the team, except it can't be a Jets, Dolphins, Eagles, or Colts jersey because I hate them all. The Bills I can tolerate. So, I'm curious as to what your thoughts are about jerseys. Who should you have in your collection? I'm getting some shirts for Christmas and I wanna get some really good jerseys.

 

I have: Vick, Branch, Givens, Brady, Law (Pats, doesn't count anymore), T. Brown

 

I am looking to opening up my selection in terms of teams. What jerseys would you all recommend I get?

 

Some of the ones I am looking at are:

John Elway - DEN (throwback colors)

Lofa Tatupu - SEA

Shawne Merriman - SD

Terrell Suggs - BAL

Ray Lewis - BAL

Troy Polamalu - PIT

Carson Palmer - CIN

Chad Johnson - CIN

Mike Vrabel - NE

Tedy Bruschi - NE

Brian Urlacher - CHI

 

Those aren't necessarily "uncommon" (with the exception of Tatupu), but more uncommon ones would be nice. Also, unless you have a really good one, try not to repeat any of the teams in the list. Don't bother if the player plays for the Jets/Dolphins/Colts/Eagles. Hahaha. Thanks guys, my mind has kind of dulled out.

I personally like Torry Holt of the Rams, probably one of the most underrated WRs in the game, he puts up huge numbers every year, yet never gets mentioned with Owens, Moss, Harrison, Johnson etc.

Id say like a Tiki Barber, Bettis, Farrior.

 

Defensive jerseys are rare, thats what I'd say to get, like a OLB, dunno many of those for sale.

I don't have as many as I used to, but here's what I got...

 

Simeon Rice (Bucs Throwback)

Terry Allen (Redskins)

Quentin Jammer (Chargers throwback)

Priest Holmes (Chiefs)

Peter Warrick (Bengals Throwback, kinda, but not their current, ugly, look)

 

I don't like wearing the home teams jerseys. Too common -- I like to be different.

 

Some jerseys that I want...

 

1994 Denver Broncos throwback Dark-- John Elway

1980 Houston Oilers Dark -- Earl Campbell

1985 Los Angeles Rams Dark -- Erick Dickerson

1989 San Francisco 49ers Dark -- Jerry Rice

1989 Atlanta Falcons Dark or Light -- Deion Sanders

 

I'd also like one of the jerseys the Redskins wore a few years back -- don't care which player.

He's the #2 WR on the Bengals. I personally think his name would go from armpit to armpit on a jersey.

Does that mean he stinks ? Sorry could't resist, I'm on a citrus high ( Thank's to On Red Seat ).

Actually, hes a pretty solid player, IMO. Makes some nice catches. Of course Palmer is his QB so some of his success is due to that.

I was just kidding. Going to get kind of boring the next couple of weeks with so many teams clinched and so many out of it.

I lucked out not to long ago on a Bruschi authentic jersey. Marshall's get's jerseys of guys that don't play anymore or if they switch teams and they sell them for about $30 bucks. It's a huge discount considering that authentics sell for 4+ times that amount. I heard of his pending come back and went to Marshall's hoping some idiot sold his jersey's to Marshall's (TJX) and nobody there relized that his jersey would become hot again. I only wish I purchased 10 at $30 cause I could be selling them for $100 each without any problem now.

just got my reggie bush jersey

 

It's just too bad that after the Texans lose Sunday, Bush will be in a Houston jersey. :lol: Realistically, from what ESPN has been saying, if the Texans win it sounds like the team with three wins that will get Reggie Bush is New Orleans. I forget all the reasons they listed besides SOS, but it sounds like San Fran has a slim shot.
