Yeah, the reffing was horrendous, especially on that travel call afetr Williams was pulled down. But it was our game to lose. A 16 point lead, 8/17 from the stripe, and 20+ turnovers doesn't win you a game. We shouldv'e ended it in the 1st half, instead of elabvin it a 4 point game. I'm very excited about enxt year though, with Dudley, Marshall, Williams (?), and Rice takin over. Great college playin by Smith, I wish the best to him, and all otehr seniors.

3/4 of mine are still breathing, and I've gotten every member of the elite 8 right so far with the exception of George Mason.

I'd like to meet "that guy" who had GM in the Elite 8.

I wouldn't be terribly upset if UConn lost this game tonight. I'm sick of watching this half-ass effort combined with moronic decision after moronic decision on the offensive end. This team doesn't deserve to be within 10. If UConn wins, can you imagine how badly they're going to try and sleepwalk through a game against George Mason?

Yeah, I read a stat that said 1 in 9,220,000,000,000 are perfect brackets.

I just checked it. Each game you have a 1/2 chance of getting correct. So the formula is:

(1/2)^(32+16+8+4+2+1) = 1.0842 x 10^(-19)

Divide 1 by that and you get: 9.223 x 10^18

which is: 9,223,000,000,000,000,000

So, you are missing 6 orders of magnitude.

Wow. :what:

Wanna take my math test for me?

Sure, what are you studying?

Well, nothing right now, but I have to take a placement test soon and I don't want to get into a class I already took in HS because I know that stuff, but haven't done math in almost 3 years so I'll get the stuff again, eventually, but don't want to sit through an entire semester of stuff I already learned.

Jim Calhoun better get off the referees and on his team. UConn has shot many more freethrows, so it's not the refs fault they're losing, it's stupid turnovers and missing said free throws.

The only NBA-ready thing about Rudy Gay's game is his athleticism, he'd be better off spending another year in Storrs.

You'd think this team would come out with a fire under their asses this half... then again, you'd think that'd be the case at the beginning of the game.

Unless you are studying a science, engineering, or finance, you most likely won't have to take a class beyond Calculus I. And there are a lot of degrees that don't require anything higher than College Algebra, so it may be no big deal if you have to remediate a bit. I had to do it for a semester when I started college because even though I zipped through the placement exam for College Algebra, there wasn't time to take higher level placements due to the fact that I registered 2 days before classes started. I had time during the break after that semester and I skipped Trig and Pre-Calc by passing those. Most schools don't allow you to attempt to place higher than Calc I.

I'm not getting that game because I live in the South East, so I'm getting the UF game. I didn't watch much college ball this year, so I didn't see Washington play before the conference tournaments began. I have to say, they are an impressive team. Really well coached, and they can fill it up.

Ok, good because I suck at math. I'm not really sure about my major -- right now it's journalism, but that's set to change anytime because I'm not so sure that that's what I want to do. But I'm also pretty certain it won't be in the science, engineering, or finance fields.

This Roy kid can play.

Here's what you need to know...

UConn: 21 turnovers, 12 FG's.

And I think you'd have a hard time finding a lot of turnovers that were forced by Washington.

Oh, one of those games. Don't worry, I watched enough of Sean Dockery this year to know what you are going through. I mean, I love the kid's heart on the court, but at times I just prayed he wouldn't touch the ball when he was on the court because he would invariably jack up a bad shot or throw the ball into the stands.

It's one of those games in which you wonder how UConn has managed to stay within' 20. But heer they are, and Rudy Gay just tied it at the free throw line and Roy has 4 fouls.

edit: It's not been 9 minutes without a turnover for UConn. Weird.

ESPn said out of the millions that sent in brackets, no one has a perfect one, and only like 7 had 15/16 sweet sixteen teams.

What caught my eye was that 536 or so had NONE of them right. That's like neither choosing favorites or the right upset picks.

BC got screwed tonight IMO...

Blown calls down the stretch of regulation cost them the game. The other thing that sucked was DIVISION 1 players not knowing what to do on defense in a situation like the one that won it. The goaltending call was a good call.

WOW there has been soooo many clock problems this year in the tournament.

I help run a big basketball league (800 kids) and a large high school basketball tournament and we don't have as many clock mistakes as this tournament does.

Up 4 and at the line for one more with 24.4 left! UConn is in prime position to survive yet again. Best time of the year, gentlemen.

My friend, who hates basketball, thanked me for making everybody watch last night's games because of how amazing they were.

What an amazing game. Washington had five players fouled out, but it didn't really look like it was just UConn getting all the calls -- they got to the line by being the more aggressive team, it seemed. Sure, I'd say more of the 50/50 calls went towards UConn, but it wasn't blatantly obvious poor officiating.

What a game. Just... wow. Maybe that's the kind of thing that gets UConn going.

I agree BC did get screwed.

- In the last min. of regulation...

C. Smith was fouled without a call after he got an offensive rebound and attempted to put it back up.

Williams had a great rebound and then his arm was grabbed and he was pulled toward the ground and a travel call was made. 1st off he was fouled, 2nd off he never actually traveled.

Other than that BC blew it in OT! Even though Nova didn't call a TO BC should have to make sure they set their defense!
