I'll be at the Carrier Dome for College Gameday tonight when Louisville visits.

 

Important game for both teams.

 

Expecting 30,000+

 

I was at the last game, when they broke the record for people at a game, and I was also at the game when SU broke the record for loudest fans (I got no clue how they figure that out, but it said so in the paper the next day) I was hooping to get to todays game, but then'd I'd miss the dunk contest, so I'll just watch it on TV

UConn with a big road win over West Virginia on the road (edit: Redundant, I know). West Virginia seems to be slipping, though. Do they not have enough depth? Not sure how effective they'll be in the tourney since they won't be coming out of nowhere again.

 

I have cause for concern with UConn, though. With a small lead, they missed the front end of 2 one-and-one's and Rudy missed one of two at the line late. Against Villanova, poor free throw shooting pretty much did them in in a game they had a chance to win, even though they played bad enough to lose by a large margin.

yep, I was there. The dome was crazy.

 

Diaper Dandy, Eric Devendorf, led the team with 17. He is gonna be nasty.

 

I was one of the dumb drunk people storming the court. Who cares, it was a huge emotional win for us. Potentially sending us dancing in march.

they won at cincy when they were ranked.

 

No (eligible) team from a power conference with a .500 league record and a low RPI has ever been left out of the tournament. I think the RPI lock number is 34 and under. SU is currently at 30. With 1 or 2 more wins and almost every game against good opponents, it probably won't go any lower than that. And their SOS is 9 in the nation.

 

8-8 gets them in, regardless of the BET.

vs. #2 'Nova (G Mac's Final Game, expecting 33,000+)

 

They will at least get 20 wins, They have a great chance to beat G'Town too in D.C. If the season ended today they would be playing Cincinatti in the first round of the BET. So, I'm saying 23-9 going into Selection Sunday.

 

Also factor in that the Big East is clearly the best conference in the nation this year, so getting at least 7 in the tourney should be a lock. Getting 8 is not out of the question. 9 is asking a lot, but it could happen.

the uconn game was amazing. nd went ona 25-2 run in the second half to come back from a 19 point deficit.

 

no easy games in college basketball.

Yeah, that UConn game should've been a loss considering the way that they played at times. I'll take the win, but I'm not too happy with the fact that Notre Dame was able to take UConn to OT. A few weeks ago, I was soooo confident in UConn's chances in the tournament... but now... :dunno:
