Too bad I cant stay home for this one. All of the major press conferences last few years Ive stayed home for, SERIOUSLY!

I remember last year staying home for RJ, turned out to be a 2 for 1 deal as I also got to see Beltrans as well, but the one that I will never forget is A-Rod's. That whole weekend that that deal wnet down fro, from Saturday morning to Sunday night when we were told it was a done deal I was literally glued to a media outlet the ENTIRE TIME, I could have been a reporter that weekend with how on top of that I was hahah.

YES is going to have an encore of it tomorrow night after the Nets' Post Game Show (around 10:00, I believe.)

Thanks Optimist, I'm scarred for life.

Excuse me while I go wash my eyes out with Dial anti-bacterial soap.

Once there was a day that money didnt matter much to players, some were payed even less than the average joe. Jackie Robinson even had retired when learned he had been traded to the rival team he had been playing against for a good matter of years, now thats what I call cold-hard loyalty.

Sure we have the Variteks and Bruschis that are loyal to their teams and will give the hometown discount, but most players will put on a routine for the show. Hence Damon's interview he had with MLB.com back in May

You need to read SImmons' article on ESPN.

BTW, money "didn't matter" because they were working a second job in the offseason. They didnt play for peanuts becaus ethey wanted to help the team, thatw as just the salary they were given

Since I havent seen it yet, did the jersey have 18 on the back?

I'm not sure; they don't have any number next to his name on the online roster yet, though.

yeah it did, and aw to commemorate that they sucked up to damon's wife and gave her 18 roses.

I'm watching the encore of the Damon press conference...

Brian Cashman has bags under his eyes; that's a good sign!

Im watching it too...anyone besides me notice that Damon might not be the brightest guy out there....he did a lot of stuttering, didnt clearly answer questions, etc..

Also, talk about modesty....NOT!!

(idk, cockiness is a turnoff for me, I guess because I am a very modest person, whatever though, not a big deal.)

On a note somewhat related to the Yankees...today, I sent in my video and application to be on next year's Ultimate Road Trip.

Am I the only Yankee fan on the forum who's done it?
