i still have much respect for the guy and hope he comes back in 2006 as the regular 2nd baseman. He made it up in the later inning with turning the DP good, and stretched the single into a double in the 9th inning. though damon had popped out and rent had grounded out. This is his 1st error since August, yes know its the playoffs, i know he will step up everything on friday

I've loved Tony since he got here but that ball going through his legs is completely unacceptable. You're a MLB player, and your on the biggest stage. You have to be perfect ... atleast as far as routine plays go. You need to be sharp, and make sure you catch every ball that comes your way.

Nothing matters but the playoffs once you get there. I dont care if he didn't have a single error all season ... because all the matters is that he now has one BIG error in the playoffs.

and again note: how i said i know its the playoffs, god...

I think he has potential and is a good player...but even a Pee-Wee knows to put the glove to the ground or block it with your body!

We all make mistakes...I certainly have.... but damn I don't make that kind of salary!

Let's just hope that without Millar we can win the next 3 games...GO SOX!

B)

But if Tito Peckerhead Penguin coach plays Millar in the next game...we are KAPUT!!!!

It always amuses me to see the amount of animosity towards Millar by Red Sox fans on other sites as well as this one. I think its one thing Yankee fans have in common with Red Sox fans.

along with red sox didnt score any runs after the 3rd inning

buckner had done it when there was 2 outs in the 10th inning, and let the game winning run score, his team had only 1 inning to try and at least tie it while... last night they had 4 innings of opportunities. Wells just needed one out after making podsenik pop up-- a strike out, ground out, line out, fly out, anything

Yep, I dont think this loss is only on Graffanino. At the end of the day its a team effort.

Truth.

Graffanino should have caught the ball, but Wells should have gotten Iguchi out, and we should have scored a couple more runs. We were only down by 1, it's not as if we were down by 12 (like that other freakin game).

Everone makes mistakes, but this game wasn't the time for mistakes.we can win 3 in a row.like last year. redsox vs yankees

Nice coming from a dodgers fan

Well, david could have just made some good pitches to help a teammate out. Instead he serves up a meatball to iguchi. Can you blame Tony G for the loss? Sure, but wells certainly didn't help.

100% right and even Wells said the same thing after the game.

if tony g had the groundball go through his legs with 2 outs in the 9th inning and the white sox score the game winning run. then yes he would rightfully be a "buckner" and the reason why they lost. this happened in the frigging 5th inning with a lot baseball left to play and sox down by just 1 run.

he is still in my wish list of offseason plans for the red sox

You could tell how sorry Graffy was too, his face shows a lot of emotion, and you could see the "s*** s*** s***" expression on his face, I still love the guy, hes like a Nixon or Varitek type player, the play hard, no excuses type.

If blowin a game is gunna happen it should happen to this guy
