So far, good pitching has allowed a 3.00 ERA. And the White Sox pitching is

some of the best in baseball. As long as we don't allow Marte or Vizcaino in.

Those guys are instant death. Vizcaino faced 2 batters in one game last week

and hit both of them..... on a grand total (I think) of 4 pitches.

Jenks often pitches more than 1 inning to close a game (I think someone asked

that earlier).

The "we" was the White Sox (hence the parens). The White Sox pitching will hold Boston

to 3-4 runs. If the White Sox score 5 or more, the White Sox will win.

That's what I meant. Maybe I wasn't clear enough.

Good call.

you obviously havent seen much games played at Fenway Park... thats a tall order to be done in Fenway Park, the Red Sox's offense will really deliver on Friday

Okay, im from the south side so dont go trashing it, cause then we have a problem. I've been to many White Sox games wearing Bo Sox stuff, I had problems a few times, but just dont let them push you around. If need be theres security for a reason, call them over if things to serious. Sox Park (I refuse to call it the Cell or US cellualr Field) is a tough place but not any tougher than Dodger stadium, where a giant fan got shot and killed last year, or Yankee stadium.

I have talked to a few people that have been to US Cellular Field and they all say that it can get pretty violent.

Strange words from a fan whose team plays in the South Bronx! (And before ask, yes I have been there and have been to a game at Yankee Stadium.) My question is, compared to what other MLB atmosphere? Shea? The Phillies current stadium? Most of that talk comes from sportwriters who are ticked that they are covering a game on the South Side rather than up in Wrigleyville, which is a much nicer neighborhood for hanging out.

Comiskey Park is hardly "violent," unless you are a drunk, obnoxious Cubs fan, or a Royals 1st base coach. :)

Agreed. We can't expect to hold Boston's bats down the same way in Fenway, especially since our two best pitchers have already pitched in this series. Freddy Garcia has pitched well there in the past, though.

If you were born and raised in the Windy city, why do you hate the local teams? I mean, you don't follow the Cubs nor the White Sox. You're a Packer fan, instead of a Bears fan (That's like saying, "Born and raised in Chicago, but I'm a Cards fan."). That's just unbelievable. Are you also a Pistons fan, instead of a Bulls fan? Or maybe a Red Wings fan, instead of a Blackhawk fan.

That's not why. I've been to the Southside of Chicago, and I've gone to a few ChiSox games, donned in Red Sox clothes, and it was an unpleasant experience. I was surrounded by drunks, it seemed like. Not so say Wrigley, however. That place is pretty bad, too.

Ever been to a game at Yankee Stadium or Veterans Stadium?

That's exactly my point! BTW, please call it Comiskey Park, since that's what White Sox fans call it.

The South Bronx about 20 years ago(and previous to that) was the worst place to have a stadium. Now the area is cleaned up and its much better. I havent seen many Yankee fans at Yankee stadium spit on 12 year old kids. I've been to Shea Stadium. Its the biggest piece of s*** in NY. I call it the dump in Flushing.

So I have to root for my local teams to be a true Chicagoan? I dont think so. I like the Packers because their like the little guy. Im a Bulls fan and even though it's hard a Hawks fan. Please dont tell me what it takes to be loyal to my city, since you've probably never been in Chicago for more than a couple of days, and I grew up there.

I still think Freddy Garcia will hold the Red Sox to 3-4 runs. He has a habit of giving them up early, then holding from that point on. If he limits the damage in the first 2 innings, the White Sox will be fine. I also expect to beat Wakefield up a little, the second time around the lineup (first time will be the adjustment period). Most of the White Sox runs will come in innings 4-5-6.

As far as Comiskey Park goes, 25-30 years ago it was a really bad neighborhood. Now they've knocked down all of the bad stuff and made it White Sox parking lots, which, oddly enough, was an improvement.

Yes, yes you do. And yeah, I think so.

I've never been to Chicago, but I do know how loyal their people are to their local teams, just like Bostonians.

Hum so my freinds are from Chicago so is my family, they have no problem with me. It's kinda funny some one from Cali telling me how to be a Chicagoan, and you've never been to Chicago. I didnt know we had to pass your test to be a true member of a city. Your right I mean me, growing up their going to school their, I guess that means nothing because I dont root for two team from my city. Shut up

I guess that tells the difference of the loyalty meter between the North Siders and South Siders.

Yea Cub fans go to the game to get drunk and party south Siders go to watch the game. I may root for the White Sox but I hate the cubs, if your from the South Side and root for the Cubs, man watch out.

Alright man, truce.

In Cali, if you're from the OC and root for the Dodgers, ******* Angel fans start to talk s***. I don't know, it's been like that since the Angels won the WS in '02. They were really nice to Dodger fans before '02. Imagine if the Braves had stayed in Boston. Crosstown rivalry in Boston.
