I made my point above what I said about the Jets. I just said that about the Jets to make sure you knew what a moron you look like trying to compare Boston and New York. What are you going to tell me next... the Jets stand a chance against the Pats this year?

If you really think what you said makes any sence, then your the moron, Just because the Patriots are better than the Jets, has apsolutly NOTHING AT ALL to do with whose better out of the Yankees Red Sox

If you guys are trying to make me sad or anything, it wont work, I can understand the Jets having a bad gamne, but the fact is, this is a baseball forum, and tal;king about football doesn't prove anything to me, I just skip over it

Yes, three games is the difference between AL East winners and second-place, fighting to make the playoffs chumps.

And spelling smack is weak, but if I could read that last argument you were trying to make, I'd respond.

yes but at least us Sox fans today can take pride in something along with Wakefield's really greatest performance of the season

The facts are, the Sox take more from today's game then they lose. We still know we can beat Rivera, Wake proved once again he's a big gamer, and Millar continues to get back on track. Besides, now that the Yankees took the series, maybe YANKEESRULE will finally come back and respond to this topic.

It's far mor ethan a bad game, they scored 7 points against the CHIEFS! Kansas City has no defense I mean the Chiefs provd today Pennington can't take a blitz at all.

Off and Running

It's time for a full Sunday of games. In early action, the Chiefs beat up the Jets 27-7, while the Saints beat the Panthers 23-20 on a late FG. Follow the action in PrimeTime HQ.

So RedRuffing, I'd like to laugh some more. You told me that Eli Manning could only get better (obviously)... so do you think he'll have a great season?

I never said anything in my life abiout Eli Manning unless its bad. True Pennington did bad, tell me I'm wrong all you want, but this was his first game with a new OC and working in the shotgun. Hopfully they can pull out and win the next few.

Nothing agenst just you, but I hate how people say It was a good loss, or we take more than we lose, no..a loss is a loss, I don't care if Wakefield went a complete game and did great, he didn't out preform RJ, and took a loss, nothing positive about that. Mo got a save, I don't see how you know you can still beat him when you didn't, yea you got men on, but you didn't beat him, he beat you.

And true, where is this Yankeesrule that this whole thing started about???

it is positive for us because he had given just one run and 3 hits, his 3rd complete game of the season (2 against the Yankees). striking out 12 (that out performed RJ) and by the way this means we can count on Wake more for the rest of the season, still has 4 games left and a chance of being a 19 game winner by season's end

I seriously don'tknow how making fun of the jets is supposed to hurt us.. I'm laughing at that lose too, I hate the Jets.

Seriously why must most of you redsox fans continue to bash everything a NY team does bad. I've not seen Sox Fan in Tex say that the Yankees nor any other NY team has done anything good. Then, to go and say the Redsox are somewhat more superior than the Yankees? How so? If they were so much more 'superior' then us, shouldn't they be atleast 8 games ahead of us?

So seriously does just bashing the Yankees and all NY teams really make your life that much better? Does it make you feel good? Because it really is pathetic that all you do is bash a team and never give them credit when they do have good games.

The Big Unit regularly hit 96-97 mph, according to the center-field scoreboard, which registered a 99 mph pitch to Johnny Damon in the third. He got Manny Ramirez to fly to center on a 98 mph fastball in the seventh inning, then struck out Kevin Millar on his 100th pitch to end the inning.

Be afraid.

They are barely fighting off the final nails. Chacon, Leiter, and Small aren't good pitchers. If they are the backbone of your staff, you've got to question your chances.

The Yankees aren't the Red Sox. Don't compare the two. Last year's Red Sox, were much better, than this Yankee team in 2005.

You are right that there is a lot of baseball to be played, but it's awfully hard to make up those many games, when you don't have a pitching staff to carry you into October.

Oh, and Cleveland, and Boston are both better ballclubs.

having a better team in front of you doesnt mean anything..in fact I wouldnt even consider Cleveland a better team and I barely consider you guys a better team, but because you are atop the division I have to. But last year you guys had to beat the Cardinals to win the Series, and the Cardinals were a better team, but you prevailed and won proving that the better team doesnt always win.

Actually the Cardinals were not the better team. They had 0 pitching last year, and if you need to be reminded we had Petey, and Curt at the top of the rotation.

Counting any team out, especially a team like the Yankees, would be a mistake (a big one); they're not out of it till that "E" appears in the standings. This is baseball, folks...anything can (and likely will) happen.

Wow, you really must have nothing to respond to what I say, if you have to talk about a totallyu different sport at a time when the Yankees beat the Sox

because they cant take a loss, when we lose we get destroyed on this site, btu when we win they minimize it by bringing up other s*** like talking about our staff or whatever other flaw they choose to talk about.

BTW, im kind of lost, you guys always accuse us of needing to buy big stars to win or whatever, and now that some lower-level pitchers have stepped up you say that its not enough. If you ask me, the contributions that Small and Chacon have made since arriving have been phenominal. And since Wright came off the DL, with the exception of 1 start, he has been very good as well. Randy has been piecing it together lately, as you chowder heads saw today, and while Wang is not the same pitcher now that he was earlier, theres still the chance that he can become that. Hes only had 1 f***in start (2 if you count his rehab start in Columbus). But whatever he does, and whether its out of the pen or in the rotation, it can only help us. Al Leiter has been a mystifying puzzle since we got him, but I would prefer him in the pen than Wayne "I Lose Games" Franklin. Its not unlikely that Moose comes back and is still a reliable starter. And last but not least, we have a guy named Mariano Rivera. So considering all of the s*** that the 2005 New York Yankees have had to go through, with injuries and whatnot, I cant complain about the pitching staff right now.

What are you going to tell me next... the Jets stand a chance against the Pats this year?

Umm.....a lot of people OUTSIDE of New York believe the Jets have a chance against the Pats.

what'd they win, 105 games or something like that? IMO the best team in baseball is better than a Widl Card Team

Well, the Jets FINALLY score with 29 seconds left. Wow, they suck.

so a loss means a team sucks? hmm..interesting, I sure hope the Pats go 19-0 this year otherwise they suck.

I dont quite understand why you guys are so focused on the Jets/Chiefs game, it has nothing to do with the Pats or any of the teams that you guys root for...you're just trying to disguise the fact that Randy SHUT YOU DOWN !!! we're accepting with our losses, grow up and accept your's

yes but at least us Sox fans today can take pride in something along with Wakefield's really greatest performance of the season

And we can take pride in taking 2 out of 3 from you beaneaters ;)
