B's win 3-2 over Atlanta tonight in Raycrofts first game starting since beggining of January. He looked pretty good in net, but not as good as he was last year. Hopefully the win gives him some confidence

Special Night in Buffalo tonight when the Maple Leafs come to town.

The Buffalo Sabres will retire Pat LaFontaine's No. 16 tonight, honoring one of the most gifted players in team and NHL history.

Rangers destroyed Philly last night. Brashear has called the new game "gay". He's such a dumbass. He singlehandedly turned the game around in NY's favor. 35 minutes in penalties total, a game misconduct, fine and suspension. He pulled off Kaspar's helmet and started pulling his hair, and he's calling the league gay?

I can't stand Brokeback Brashear. But hey, 4 points clear in the Atlantic is cool by me.

the maple leafs are a big time under achieving team. they should have blown the team up a few seasons ago. if they are smart they would be sellers at the trading deadline.

tough loss for the bruins. they basically outplayed the sabres most of the game but got lazy for about 10 minutes and it ended up costing them.

nother win vs the bruins, great playoff atmosphere at HSBC

lol @ boynton

"They're flopping around like fish out of water. It's embarrassing" said the defenseman.

"All you have to do to be a GM now is give your team some acting lessons and you're all set. They don't call it both ways. They only call it one way. As soon as you go down, that's it. They're supposed to fine guys for diving, but they don't do it. So hats off to them. They play the rules, I guess, the way we have to play them. But it's tough to look at yourself in the mirror after a game when you know you're flopping around and taking dives and not playing the game the way it should be played." Boynton feels it's nothing new with the Sabres. "That's the way they've always been in the league, even with the new rules, and they do it well," he said. "They fool the refs every time."

Boynton wasn't alone in the criticism. David Tanabe, who took one penalty last night and two in Saturday's loss to Buffalo, was also frustrated.

"You touch a guy, he takes a dive, you get a penalty," Tanabe said. "All this is encouraging less physical play."

excuses, excuses.

well this "diving" team is gonna dive its way to the playoffs while the bruins sit at home, watch it and say "wow, we had the privledge of losing to those divers 8 times"

you think the fact that the Sabres are deadly on power plays has anything to do with another team crying about getting penalties?

They provide the same rule book to all teams, and those that can read do so.

The Boston Bruins claimed right wing Mariusz Czerkzwski off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday. Czerkzwski played 19 games with the Maple Leafs this season with four goals and one assist for five points.

Hes had a couple very productive years before, and hasnt gotten to play much this year. Could be a nice pickup if he stays healthy. Hes a great offensive player.

If the Bruins really think they have any shot at the playoffs, they need to go out and get a 2nd line center, like they did in 04 with nylander.

Big trade in the NHL today. Canadiens trade Jose Theodore to Colorado for David Aebischer. Also the Kings acquire Mark Parrish and Brent Sopel, while Edmonton picked up Dwyane Roloson.

Jose Theodore for David Aebischer? Which team does this help.. Theodore is injured and has sucked this year, Aebischer has always sucked.

Im hoping the B's try and make a deal for Oli Jokinen

Yeah I was pretty surprised when I heard that. Theodore has a broken heel and is due 5 mil next year. Plus the Avs have a shitload of FA's after this year which they need to re-sign if they want to be competitive next year. Aebischer's not as bad as you make him out to be. For this year I think it benefits Montreal more.

Memo to David Aebischer: Welcome to the ninth circle of hell...aka hockey crazy Montreal. If you sneeze, it'll be headline news.

Anyone know if Theodore can get that hair medicine in Colorado?

I think Propecia works better in the thinner atmosphere anyways.

Ken Klee to the Devils... no word of who the Leafs got in return...

I forgot how much I loved the Trade Deadline.

Probably a draft pick if anything, Klee is well past his prime.
