im just hoping the B's make at least one big move tonight or tommorow

I don't want to make a big move just for the sake of making one. Either get young quality players in return or a low priced veteran scorer.

Curtis Joseph apparently going to Vancouver as well. I hope these are all true and I'm not just throwing ******** at everyone. For you Sabres fans (or just 1) I heard a rumor which says Noronen, Campbell and Pyatt to Phoenix for Comrie and Morris. That one Is just a rumor though.

Alright these trades have all gone down this afternoon. Most are just players going for cash or draft picks.

Todd Simpson from Chicago to Montreal

Brad Lukowich from Islanders to New Jersey

Sean Brown from New Jersey to Vancouver

Denis Gauthier from Phoenix to Philly

Sean O'Donnell from Phoenix to Anaheim

Mika Noronen from Buffalo to Vancouver

Jeff Friesen from Washington to Anaheim

Keith Carney from Anaheim to Vancouver

Also Mark Recchi has waived his no trade clause to go to Carolina. Don't know who's going in return in that one.

wered u see that

EDIT-- ya ur right and a draft pick. Mike Oconnell needs to be shot for this trade unless the draft pick is a first rounder

Reasoner is pretty much a Wayne Primeau

Posted

oconnell loves bringing in ex-bruins or anyone who has played around here before. (Reasoner played at BC)

this move help the bruins in no way for the future.

Marty Reasoner, a second round pick and a minor league player (Yan Stastny)

Posted
Yan Stastny is the prospect the bruins get back in return. The bruins traded Stastny to Edmonton on August 30th 2005 for a fourth round draft pick.

Well, at least he got something for him, because they werent going to bring him back next year.

Exactly. That is unfortunately the most we could have gotten out of Samsonov or we would have gotten as much as we got from Rolston, Knuble, Nylander etc. which is nothing.

Ozolinsh to the Rangers, not a bad upgrade at the point. He was very good at the Olympics. Hopefully he can move the puck and put it on net for the powerplay.

Bruins D Boynton suspended for inappropriate gesture

March 10, 2006

TORONTO (Ticker) - Boston Bruins defenseman Nick Boynton has been suspended one game for directing an inappropriate, threatening gesture to Mike Ribeiro of the Montreal Canadiens in Thursday night's game.

The suspension was announced by the NHL on Friday.

Under terms of the collective bargaining agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Boynton will forfeit $6,010.20.

The incident occurred with 3:47 left in the second period and Boynton was assessed a game misconduct on the play. He will miss Saturday's game against the New York Islanders.

i f***ing hate Ribeiro more than i do Arod. Nick Boynton atleast is trying to step up and do something about all these guys who keep falling down for no reason and drawing penalties. Boynton got a 4 minute penalty and a game misconduct for "spearing". I guess Boynton made a throat-slashing gesture to Ribero. Usually i would think this is bad, but for Ribeiro he deserves it.

I don't get the NHL, they allow guys to fight but a throat slash is a suspension? Give me a break, i have seen players give guys the finger and rip into refs. They have their priorities all backwards.

Boynton could've gotten suspended for the spear, since that's actually dangerous to a player's health. What next...fines for harsh language?

Posted
ya i dont like how the NHL has gotten so much more strict over fights and stuff like this. He should have been fined, but i dont think a suspension's needed. I hope Boynton actually gets in a fight with Ribeiro next time they play. That guy needs to get his assed kicked.

Idk, the NHls really been crap this year, I've even lost interest after intensely watching the Bs the past few seasons, I could give less than two shits about Sid Crosby.

Amazing to me I agree here. This winter I've really been shifting towards College Hoops and this year is the most I've followed it as a sport. Part of disinterest in hockey of course has to do with the year the Bruins are having, of course I'll still watch them if they're on but if there's a good finish like I anticipate all day today I'll watch that every time.

Total opposite for a Ranger fan. TOTAL opposite :)
