now i need to figure out how to get rid of the rest of my tickets for the year

Wow you're a real fan there. If I had season tickets to the Bruins I'd still go to every game I could no matter if they're good or bad I'll always support them. The last thing this team needs is fans like you.

whatever.....at least I still care about them even though they have sucked this year. But i'm disappointed that they should have broken the team down and traded guys for younger players and draft picls.

Bruins fire general manager O'Connell

Assistant GM Jeff Gorton has been named interim GM.

O'Connell was named to the post in November of 2000, succeeding longtime Bruins boss Harry Sinden.

Entering the 2005-06 season, his teams won two division titles and compiled a 152-98-39-27 record and .585 win percentage during his tenure as general manager.

The Bruins struggled out of the gate early this season, and O'Connell raised a lot of eyebrows in November by trading captain Joe Thornton to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for Marco Sturm, Wayne Primeau and Brad Stuart.

The team also shipped off forward Sergei Samsonov at the March 9 trade deadline, and now sits 10 points out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with a 27-32-7-5 record.

His final move as GM was signing netminder Tim Thomas to a three-year deal.

More to follow.

Good luck to Bruins newly hired GM Peter Chiarelli! Time will tell but who would bet against the notion that he’ll be another Jeremy Jacobs puppet?

Good to see that Sullivan is all but done as the Bruins head coach. Sounds like its down to former Leafs coach Pat Quinn and former Detroit Red Wings coach Dave Lewis.

Also, interesting to see who the B's draft tommorow with the 5th pick in the draft.

I think a couple good moves for this team and they will definetly have a shot at contending next year.

They need to trade Raycroft and possibly Boynton , and bring in at least 1 FA forward (Marc Savard/Jason Arnott) and 1 FA defenseman (Wade Redden/Zedna Chara)

Im hoping the B's end up with Kessel, Toews or Backstrom in the draft tonight

the bruins do get kessel. to some he was touted as the number 1 player in the draft but ended up in the fifth position. as well the bruins trade raycroft for a goalie prospect (like we need enough!!)

I think i can honestly say that the Bruins did something positive tonight. IMO, they had a great draft. Kessel was a steal and Yuri Alexandrov, who was supposed to be a first round pick, slipped down to the B's at 37. GREAT DRAFT.
