Chris Collins was a superstar this past season at Boston College. He was a finalist for the Hobey Baker award, the award for the best college player.

 

This kid is going to be good, though i'm not sure how long it'll take him to climb through the ranks. nor do i understand the reasoning why he wasn't in the draft.

Nice pickup for the Bruins, I really like the looks of what they're doing, they're basically completely changing their system and building around Bergeron. The coach seems determined to win, despite his close resemblence to Adolf Hitler. This team could very possibly be a quality playoff team 2 or 3 years down the road.

With conflicting reports bouncing around on whether Bruins top draft pick Phil Kessel wants to return to the University of Minnesota for his sophomore year or turn pro now, family adviser, Wade Arnott, said Friday the issue simply has not yet been decided.

 

"They are still preliminary, but there are ongoing discussions with the Bruins," Arnott said.

 

Kessel would like to sign immediately if the conditions are right, according to Arnott, meaning both the salary and bonuses - and the opportunity to get quality playing time in the NHL

According to ESPN.com, the University of Minnesota forward has decided to forego his final years of college eligibility and will sign a three-year contract with the Boston Bruins. The formal announcement could come as early as Thursday.

The Bruins have scrapped the Pooh bear third jersey's and are going back to the vintage 70's jersey's as there third jersey. They will have either the black or white one but here is what they look like.

It's about time they got rid of they stupid Smokey the Bear jersey and went back to the old school unis. Maybe it will bring back the "Big Bad Bruins" attitude that's been missing from this team since PJ Stock, Bill Guerin, Marty LaPointe, Joe Thornton, Sean O'Donnell, Kyle McLaren and Mike Knuble left town.

Sick come from behind game tonite to put em 10-3 in their last 13. Chara seemed to have a fire in him, and same with Alberts. Stuart stays hot, and a lot of nice plays from Savard and Primeau. The Bruins need to ride this hot streak otu as long as possible and keep playin the beautiful hockey theyre playin now.
