I swear to god, Rivera gets luck going his way a majority of times out. I mean, that DP ball hit right back to him and I still believe the runner at first was safe. I just still can't believe that 8th inning for the Angels.

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Just not so lucky when he blew those couple postseason saves. So, goes both ways. Phew, no sweep...cold comfort.

Still doesn't take away that Rivera is the greatest closer that has ever lived. And to think Stick Micheal wanted to trade him to the Tigers...

Bloody hell, that game was embarrassing. Where was Renteria?

 

Embarrasing? It's one game, I don't think we win that game even if Renteria gets an a bat. Tito was giving him a day off.

Yeah, well, we had so many good chances in the last two innings is all.

 

So do a lot of teams, I'm not one to blame people, because I've started to adhere to the grace period, but if you want to blame anyone, I'd guess I'd blame Arroyo.

 

I don't really care that we did lose this game, we split against the best team in baseball, in Chicago too. It's one game out of 162, let's not over analyze it.

And not to get all lame and Yankees Suck-y....but Derek F'in Jeter went 0 for 5 today!

I read some story that *coughcough* DJ's "sick" or something? :rolleyes: He's been streaky or slumpy, for awhile now...my only request is that this entire team goes through their slumps at the same time - because it's either they hit but can't pitch, or vice-versa, or BP blows it or SOMETHING combusts.

too bad tek was just a solo shot, couldve been two if not for millar trying to stretch it out, but hey the sox get to follow a split with the best team in baseball by going against the lowly d-rays. Though the D-Rays have been tearing it up, actually winning 7 out of their last 10 games. David Wells will be starting his second consecutive game against them with a niice 10-1 career record

The D-Rays swept the Orioles. Which is just amazing and great for us.

 

A split with Chicago is real good I think. It could've been more if not for Tito not pinch hitting for Cora / Graffanino again with Edgar RIGHT THERE but whatever.

yeah the orioles have lost 7 out of their last 8 and getting swept by the d-rays and dropping the last to in the series against seattle. i wonder if o's fans are pushing some panic buttons?

i was sure with the orioles' ace erik bedard up on the mound with his "roger clemens" ERA of 1.89 that baltimore wouldve avoided a sweep
