u guys should calm down...remember last year when you were something like 14 out in August and came back to make it a race for the division (which we won at least)....well we're not stuck with as big a deficit and we have more time to come back than you did...if you guys can do it in a month and a half then we can do it in 3+ months....theres still lots of ball to be played boys

The Sox also had a talented team when they came back from 3-0. I'll say it again, they're old and run down and through 74 games they are playing .500 baseball. They have no team chemistry, an owner keeps threatening anyone and everyone, how can they make a run?

I have to agree with you on the team chemistry, Tex.

 

I heard on roadgames the whole team goes their seperate ways for dinner or anything else after night.

 

Jeter has to step up and invite the whole 25 man roster out to dinner, maybe do something else fun. While at dinner, ask them what they believe is wrong with this team and ways to fix it.

 

Also getting a decent CF, and a starter wouldn't hurt...

So if you look at this, you could clearly see there's not that big of a difference between age on these two teams. They're pretty much mixed with both old and young. Sox have chemistry right now, Yanks don't. That's pretty much why you guys are in first and we're not. There's things that are going to have to be done in the Yankees organization for them to get back to where they want to be.

First off Yankees have the oldest average second of all the Yankees won't come back they don't have the pitching. RJ is good but hasn't been great, Mussina is good but definitly not great, Pavano sucks, Wright if he ever comes back sucks, Wang is too young and will burn out in the second half, and please god do not get me started on Kevin Brown.

 

Thier bats aren't all that great either. They have greta guys oat the top Jeter, A-rod, Sheff and half of the time Matsui, outside of that they struggle hitting, Giambi please, Posada been sucking all year, Canoe far too young he shouldn't be expected to hit, don't get me started on Womack, and Bernie is over the hill

 

The Defense isnat all that great either I shouldn't even have to explain just look at the plays Bernie Williams and Sheffield have screwed up outside of Jeter and A-Rod they have no gloves.

 

The Bullen is OK at best the only really strong part of the bullpen is Mariano. Tom Gordon has been good but proved last year he can't make it through the end of the season and will burn out in September. Quantrill sucks hes a Middle relief guy he's supposed to be able to not let ingerited guys score, last year he led the Majors in most inherited runners scored against. Sturtze has been good but is unreliable, Procter is terrible, Groom hads been ok but is old so I really don't see him lasting the season he also can't get righties out. Stanton is terrible

 

Bottom line looking at the Yankees entire team they are just not that good and like I've said 100 times before I see them winning 86 games this season and missing the playoffs.

ah yess, i get to see the mets/yanks game tonight on espn at 8, randy is on the mound, not a definite win, cmon the drays battled him and he lost just goin the 1st 3 innings-- so pretty much Go Mets, just think if we win and they los again tonite, that be 7 1/2 games ahead of them, how sweet it is

alrite sox are continuing their great stretch, sweeping bothe the Guardians and now the Phillies. Its the 7th straight win for the Sox, and now just need the yanks to lose for them to now be 7 1/2 games behind our boys wow just thin lil over a week ago, the yankees were threatening at 2 games behind us
