Boring announcers

My brother just found a poll that says Yankees announcers are the most boring. haha. The Red Sox are tied with a few others for having some of the best..and they had 0% of the boring vote. I have definitely observed this. Anyone else?

I just watched the yankees broadcast, and those guys SUCK. They have nothing interesting to say about the team or the game. I've always taken Remy and Orsillo/Mcdonough for granted I guess. They really are some of the best.

I agree Remy can just be hilarious at times, like today reading the newspaper. Him and McDonough were 2 of the best and really had good chemistry. I really disliked Orsillo in his first couple years here, but he really has improved and he has made me somewhat forget McDonough. They always make the game fun to watch even if it is a blowout. So I think we do take our announcers for granted.

Yes, I totally agree. I'm always excited when the game's on NESN. Sometimes that makes the game for me. The are so fair. and cool.

I listened to Jim Kaat and Paul O'Neill yesterday and I thought I was going to rip my ears off. Those two are horrendous.

I like ESPN's sunday announcers. I hate YES's announcer, mike kay or whatever with that generic home run call "SEE YA" stfu man. his voice also annoys me. kinda sounds like a tough gay guy trying to be a badass.

I don't know what you like about ESPN's announcers, I don't mind Miller that much but Morgan is a pain to listen to, he makes it sound like he is a know it all expert, and nobody else knows more about the game than he is. He's almost as bad as Tim McCarver.

Oh yeah! Dude, that guys so stupid. In the game against the Twins, Posada hit a flyout, the guy starts yammering "ITS OUT OF HERE, WHAT A HIT BY JORGE POS....aaand....it falls a bit short..." and he continues on like he didnt just make a fool out of himself in front of seven million people.

yea right, you guys are just being f***in biased....i do like the Remy and Orsillo combination but ill take any combination of Michael Kay, Jim Kaat, Bobby Murcer, Ken Singleton, Paul O'Neill, David Justice, John Sterling, Suzyn Waldman, and Jim Leyritz ANY day iver the NESN broadcasters....granted Leyritz is pretty boring and thankfully John Fillipelli is keeping him exclusive to Staten Island Yankees games.

If you are ever in doubt to how spoiled we are announcer wise, just listen to a game with that dick McCarver and his idiot sidekick Joe Buck. ::shudder:: I hate those two more than anything.

As odd as it sounds, I don't look forward to seeing the sox in the playoffs - because I'll have to listen to those to cocks (and don't even get me started on "scooter")... I mean I REALLY hate those two.

Dude, you're lucky. Up here in Maine on WZON they zapped the boston broadcast and put on ESPN radio... so not only was I denied Remy... I couldn't listen to any "WAY BACK, WAAAAAAAAY BACK... HOME RUN" either.

 

Friggin hell on earth I have to tell you... watching the team you love pull off some of the wildest s*** ever in the playoffs and being FORCED to listen to two men with the intelligence of infants talk to me about baseball.

 

God how I missed actual intellectual stimulation. Say what you want, Remy and Don talk baseball, and they don't talk down to the dumbest fans... they talk up to the smartest fans (which teaches the dumb fans a few things)... its such a joy to listen to that. ::sigh::

I wish I could do that during the playoffs, but there is already a 1 or 2 second delay between radio and TV, and TiVo makes it worse.
