For whoever wanted Sauerbeck, do you remember how horrible he was? He walked everyone, made huge jams and was just as pathetic. What we really need to do is get Lenny DiNardo back up. That kid can pitch.

Embree sucks. He's a real bad version of Randy Johnson. All he does is throw fastballs down the plate, but unlike Randy, they don't go too fast. So basically if you have the batting skills of Kevin Millar (which about 70% of the MLB does) you can crush Alan Embree. I agree, give Dinardo or Malaska a chance, they can't do much worse.

just 2 years ago embree's fb was touching 98.. what happened to the guy? he dropped, speedwise last season but was still effective. the drop this season is just so hard. what is going on...

 

i like embree and i really wish he can start to pitch well again. but having a fb as his main pitch and not being able to locate it too well is not going to help him.

I think we all forget so quickly what he and the others did for us in the play-offs last year! There are several players that are not putting up the numbers we expect. What about them?

Embree has clearly lost something and what bothers me is how Tito still tried to use him as a middle reliever. I think he has some value as a situational guy against leftys. He did make Edmonds look bad Monday night, and I was glad to see Tito get him out of the game with rightys coming up.

I think Tito is starting to get that he's lost it. Notice how he was in a 5-1 almost sure thing loss last night.
