7:07 tonight, oh those Canadians.

Wells got bombed in his first outing back from the DL, giving up nine hits and seven runs over 1 1/3 innings against the A's. The veteran left-hander will try to rebound against his former team, the Blue Jays. Wells pitched in Toronto on April 9, giving up nine hits and six runs over 6 1/3 innings. In that one, he had the indignity of giving up three consecutive homers.

Bush went eight innings in his last start but couldn't snag his first win. The right-hander has thrown at least seven innings in four of his eight starts, and he's allowed three runs or less six times. In three May starts, Bush is 0-1 with a 4.32 ERA.

I'm really not confident in Wells after last week. Oh well, we'll see

7:07: is it because they have to sing both national anthems?.

I dont know whether to cheer or not when a DP plates a run

Same. But since it was the first inning, I would cheer (if I was at the game) because we took the early lead. Still, Big Papi grounding into the play, the way he's been playing isn't the greatest thing either.

Goddamnit. Another quality start from Wells.

Let's get to the Blue Jays bullpen, cause Yankees are looking to win tonite (up 5-0 thanks to Arod) and I don't like being that close to them in the division.

It must be a very frusterating year for Wells. He struggles early and just as he starts to pitch lights out baseball, he hearts himself and now he's back where he started. So far tonight he hasn't been great, but he hasn't been aweful either. I think he will eventually make his way back to the way he had been pitching before the injury, even if it takes some time. Now lets score some runs and get him off the hook.

Ouch, that had to hurt, right off the foot. Maybe now we'll be forced to see a lot more of Youk in the coming games? Anywho, think back to the night. Aside from the fourth inning, Wells was pretty good. For f***s sake, he was on par for a win tonight! But then Timlin came in and gave up his first HR of the year...whatever.

On another note...sorry Soxy, but I'm starting to get impatient with Blowhorn...

Come on Johnny...launch a double and bring Youk home.

EDIT: Anyone notice Renteria playing better tonight?? I hope this is a good sign of things to come.

EDIT 2: Bah, bottom 9th with the game tied...we've been here in Toronto before...BLAH
