I feel sorry for the Royals. They have to endure the wrath of an angry Red Sox team. We will look back at this puny 3 game losing streak as the motivation for the World Series we will have just won and laugh and laugh and laugh. Wakefield starts a long winning streak tomorrow.

I have this awful feeling the sox will lose 2 of 3 to the Royals. Schilling will pitch great, we know that, but Wake has been a toss up lately, and Lowe just plain sucks.

 

Not to worry, on the flip side I think the Rangers will take 2 of 3 from the Yanks, so we need to make up for bad play in interleague play next week.

Oh c'mon guys, where's the confidence? Sure Lowe has sucked more than Rich Garces, Pete Schourek, Brian Rose, and Ramiro Mendoze put together, but he will eventually prevail! It's tough to be supportive of a guy with the second highest ERA among starts in all of baseball. It's rapidly approaching 7. Sorry, but I won't be able to bring myself to cheer for him any time soon. Talk to me when it goes below 5, then I might consider it.

D-Lowe.... the good thing about his ERA is that he hasn't pitched a lot of innings per start. So if he has a couple of good games in a row, it will be back down in the 4s. He's gone after this year anyway.

 

He's still better than Frank Castillo.

 

If the Royals still play on turf (I don't think so, but I'm not sure), he could get banged around this weekend.

Dont worry, Kauffman Field used to be turf but it is not anymore. ;)

Michael Holley was right when he said that the division will be decided by how well the Sox and Yanks do against everyone else and not against each other. Case in point...Monday, the Orioles kill us, then drop three straight to the Yankees.

 

Meanwhile, our starting pitching has gone to the dogs, and now tonight we are being Gobbled up.
