  1. After we cut him, nobody stepped up to sign him. Another team would rather have horn than Campbell. Kind of sad if you think about it
  2. Looks like we lost Bailey horn.
  3. The article brings up a lot of good points. Two points I think are most excellent. 1.) depth. Seems like every year the bullpen gets burned out in the first half of the season and we never have enough depth to cover for injuries or poor performance. I think it is important to get the best prospect arms we can in Worcester so we have internal options in 2025! 2.) competition. The more the better. As the article says, only the best performing young players get to many in Boston. The rest are depth. Competition forces these guys to have to perform to stay in Boston. I think we have tons of middle infielder competition and not so much elsewhere. Competition helps create depth too.
  4. It definitely hurt me to watch Campbell pitch!!! What a waste of money 💰
  5. I think it will come in at 195mm
  6. Is giolito ready to go by opening day???
  7. Now to use that free 21mm to go sign fried
  8. Or an above average right handed bat to protect pitching around devers
  9. I am very happy Campbell is on his way out of town.
  10. We just signed a Seattle catcher to a minor league deal.
  11. I like that we put Garcia and dobbins on the 40. I love that we jettisoned Campbell!! I would like to thank the angels for talking about offering pivetta a three year deal!!!!
  12. Sports guys in Atlanta said we offered fried 180mm for 6 years.
  13. I feel Mayer’s swing will transition the best to the major leagues immediately, but eventually Anthony will have an incredible and more productive career as a hitter. The competition for starting second baseman will be fierce next season. I hope Campbell wins it outright.
  14. Byrnes second half of 2024 was nothing to write home about!!!!
  15. His defense is not bad now. It at 6’3” tall, he is better at third base once arias gets here! his bat is the real deal! Anthony hit .269 at Portland. Mayer hit .307! Granted Mayer is a year older and breaks down more than a 1978 ford pinto! But like the pinto, Mayer can catch fire too. (With the bat)
  16. I agree with Randy that the budget is set at slightly under 200 mm for 2025! I think bres-slow goes hard after fried and then back to dumpster diving or trades to fill in the holes! the key is dancing with Arizona for a Montgomery-yoshida swap!
  17. You realize that when healthy Mayer is a tremendous bat and decent defender??? Future all star third baseman
  18. It sounds like bres-slow is really pushing hard to sign fried. Maybe ownership is giving him extra budget for this signing
  19. I am very excited about the second group of 4 prospects. Montgomery, Airas, cespedes and Garcia they all have a chance to be major contributors at the major league level
  20. If he cleans up the swing and miss element of his game, he will fly through the minor leagues
  21. Sounds like we are still in on fried. Huge win if bres-slow can pull it off
  22. Only if they agree to take yoshida
