  1. Do we test out devers at first base this spring training ???
  2. I have absolutely no confidence in devers at first base!! But I feel much better about him at DH!
  3. The next collective bargaining agreement will prove this statement is 100 percent correct
  4. Competing does not guarantee winning:
  5. Another reason to lock up your young talent and continue to emphasize developing prospects! Trades and trade capital will continue to grow in importance!
  6. The dodgers are one of if not the best run sports organization in America!!!! not saying we should emulate them but maybe we can take away something from process
  7. Assuming bres-slow is done adding for the offseason, what assets can we unload at the trade deadline if things go south??? giolito, Wilson, Chapman, refsynder, beuhler????
  8. I know some people are down on ownership for being cheap, but bres-slow has upgraded the starting rotation. we have a ton of young talented position players. If the rotation holds, then the bullpen does not get burned out as quickly. we are in decent position for a playoff spot now! Health, as always, is a wild card
  9. You do understand that players play to win!!!!
  10. If we start the year with no additions, the following players on our 40 man roster probably start the season on the 60 day DL whitlock, Sandoval, giolito, Murphy, and yoshida! catchers are wong and narveaz infielders are casas, Campbell, romy, Hamilton, Grissom, story, devers, outfielders are Duran, rafeala, abreau, and refsynder rotation is houck, crochet, beuhler, bello and Crawford Multi inning bullpen arms wincowski, Criswell Low leverage situation arms are Wilson, Bernardino and weissert high leverage situation arms are Hendricks, Chapman, and slaten Assuming Whitlock yoshida and giolito return mid season, this team is probably very close to a playoff team.
  11. We can improve the pen, improve corner infield defense, and add power RHB if we do a trade with the cardinals for arenado and helsey and start Campbell at 2nd base! yoshida, grissom, Romero, Guerrero and Sandlin to St. Louis! We know hang’em Chaim loves middle infielders!!!!!
  12. The MLB 8 seems a little weak
  13. the real test of bres-slow’s ability is how many relievers can he stash in Worcester that can contribute when our best bullpen guys arms go dead????? You have to figure that we will need at least 5 over the course of 2025!
  14. Where does Bergman create an upgrade? Is he worth 170mm more than Campbell at 2nd base???
  15. His stuff does not overwhelm but yet he consistently gets the job done!!!
  16. Where can we truly upgrade our roster??? 1B - casas - injured most of 2024. Potential superior power hitter, cost controlled. Defense is a dumpster fire!!!! 2B - Bergman? Or Campbell? - is Bergman at 200mm really that big an upgrade of Campbell???? Campbell very cost controlled. Both should be average defenders. SS - story - often injured. Decent defender. Decent hitter???? 3B - devers - superior power hitter. Absolute dumpster fire on defense C - wong - decent hitter. If not over used. Dumpster fire on defense LF - Duran - quality bat. Speed. Decent defense. CF - rafeala - very young. Cost controlled. Potential to be decent bat. Superior defender RF - abreau - cost controlled. Potential to be decent bat. Superior defender
  17. For 2025, theoretically, we could have 1.) casas and story healthy!!! 2.) rafeala playing centerfield and not ping ponging back and forth. 3.) rafeala experienced and past the first four woeful months of 2024! 4.) abreau experienced now! 5.) Campbell could win the 2B job! in theory, these changes plus the rotation additions and the additional pitching depth has to equate to more wins in 2025!
  18. Hope is never a good strategy
  19. If Mayer gets off to a good start at Worcester, does he get the call up to Boston when story gets his season ending injury????? it is not like Mayer is the next cal Ripken ????
  20. In 2024, the Red Sox brought in 800 million in revenue and spent 200 million on salaries and another 300 million (estimated) in operations! Net to ownership of 300 million less taxes! not a bad year for a sucky team
  21. Maybe the Mets step up big time for Bergman and we focus on catching and the bullpen!
  22. The taxes are much more favorable in Arizona
  23. Burnes wanted to stay close to family in Arizona!
  24. It appears the Mets are making a run at Bergman! The last three years, Bergman cannot hit left handed pitching either! I think if we got a closer and a right handed hitting catcher, we would be a playoff team next year
