    Arias is the best defensive short stop I saw in the Red Sox farm system last season! Wow!! but he is a bit of a free swinger, aka rafeala! 2025 is a big year for him! I think if he proves he can hit, he ends the year in Portland

    I think Campbell is much better suited for the outfield, but 2nd base is a huge black hole for us. I am surprised rafeala does not claim the second base position full time!!!!

    Bergman wants too many years arenado cannot hit left handed pitching, but offers a defensive upgrade!!! I think it is fair for bres-slow to stand his ground.

    I really hope slaten stays healthy all year in 2025! He could be very important in the back end of the bullpen for us!!!

    In the past, we have had numbers for pitching prospects in the minors, and gotten very little actual contributions from them in Boston. And maybe the fact that in the past couple of years, we actually are getting contributions from home grown pitchers is altering my view, but, This current batch of pitching prospects think, has the ability to actually have some contributors in Boston eventually .

    Well that is the gamble only bres-slow can decide to take!!! And maybe with the advanced analytics bres-slow has more information than us to make that decision! in the second half of the year, the ball came out of his hand well and I am not sure many on the list ahead of him can say that.

    We were one of the worst defensive teams in 2024! We have defensive dumpster fires at 3rd base, 1st base and catcher. Plus a black hole at second base for the time being. there is no evidence (for or against) to support devers can move to 1st base. we do not have to trade for arenado! Therefore we can afford to wait until spring training and give yoshida a chance to prove to St. Louis that he is healthy. Because I think bres-slow is not bringing in arenado without shipping out yoshida.

    Mullins stuff is decent! Can he improve his control???? I am not sure I would include him in any trades.

    Devers 3rd base defense is a dumpster fire. devers at DH and occasional 3rd or 1st base has to be a significant improvement defensively!!! Is having arenado at 3rd and devers at DH, better for the team than devers at 3rd and yoshida at DH????

    I got to see Portland a good bit in 2024. I got to admit, I was most impressed with Mayer. The only nitpick I saw was his tendency to get impatient and chase pitches. Everything else was the best I saw in double A last year. This kid is the real deal!!! Future star.

    Now that flattery is back in Detroit, I am hopeful somebody signs pivetta. I guess St. Louis needs to see yoshida is healthy before any discussions can begin about arenado

    We currently have 6 outfielders on the 40 man roster. Duran, rafeala, abreau, refsynder, Garcia and yoshida. 1.) Garcia is not ready for major leagues and will start the year in the minors. 2.) yoshida probably starts the year on the injured list. Duran, rafeala, abreau and refsynder is an acceptable outfield to start the year! the problem becomes if rafeala has to play regularly in the infield or refsynder or Duran has a regression year. with Sandoval and perales going to the 60 day DL, we do have spots open if Campbell or Anthony completely wows everybody in spring training! Or gets off to a fast start in Worcester

    Jen mcaffrey of the athletic thinking yoshida will not be with Boston to start the season. Yoshida will only start throwing in march she thinks he is behind on his rehab

    Do you think the medicals have come back bad on flattery???? If so, shouldn’t bres-slow be all over signing this guy????
