  1. Tibbs with a strike out in his first at bat
  2. I am hopeful the Red Sox pitching continues to be outstanding while our hitters get settled and start putting up more runs
  3. Tibbs is batting second and playing right field tonight in Portland!!!!
  4. Abreau in the Worcester lineup and batting 2nd tonight
  5. Really hoping beuhler has his best stuff today! I thought he looked ok last outing, but I do not think he had his best stuff!!!!
  6. The stuff is undeniable, the control and command is not good!!! Currently that is
  7. That kid can hit and draws a ton of walks! It was sad to see him go, but crochet had been worth every penny we paid thus far
  8. No! I think this team was woefully divided between the “win now” side (headlined by Cora and Devers and Bregman) and the “build a sustainable winning program” (headlined by bres-slow) it looks like Henry had decided to follow bres-slow so the next logical step is to move the last two veterans that want to win now: Bregman to Detroit story to Atlanta!!! I think we are 2 starters way from a perennial contending juggernaut !!!!
  9. Something is better than nothing!!!
  10. Starting pitching crochet Cease Alcantara Dobbins bello depth - Crawford, Harrison, fitts
  11. Sounds like slaten has more than a pinched nerve in his neck
  12. Starting pitching is the key! didn’t earl weaver once say it was amazing how everything in baseball revolves around the bump????
  13. When houck comes back, would you put him in the rotation or bullpen
  14. Meidroth has also impressed the white Sox.
  15. Criswell and burdi pitched Sunday. Maybe we could see Garcia????
  16. If the starting pitching is really good, the lineup you describe above can get us to the playoffs with timely hits and development of the rookies
  17. I think that is fair and accurate!! And maybe Bailey teaches him a cut fastball that comes out of the same arm slot so he has something to keep the hitters honest
  18. Romero has not looked healthy swinging the bat for weeks before he went on the injured list. I believe he got hurt early in the year in the bad weather and has been trying to play through it
  19. From what I can see, he has an inconsistent slider and a poor change up! the kid is 23 years old, might be a little early to say #2 has sailed! if Harrison becomes the closer or 8th inning reliever we desperately need, then I can live with that!
  20. All three Seattle starters are right handed so Anthony and Mayer should play everyday
  21. I think 6th sounds about right until Mayer and Anthony graduate
  22. It looks to me like Valera and Clarke has really good stuff!! But both appear to be injured now. tolle, fitts and early appear to be on a program designed to improve their ability to throw secondary pitches for strikes!!! The better their success in this program will determine if they are relievers or starters in Boston!!!! I think dobbins has been amazing as a rookie this year! He has earned a spot in our rotation with his work so far!!!
  23. In my opinion, substantially improve the hit tool, while chasing less pitches outside the zone when he has 2 strikes!!
