  1. When houck comes back, would you put him in the rotation or bullpen
  2. Meidroth has also impressed the white Sox.
  3. Criswell and burdi pitched Sunday. Maybe we could see Garcia????
  4. If the starting pitching is really good, the lineup you describe above can get us to the playoffs with timely hits and development of the rookies
  5. I think that is fair and accurate!! And maybe Bailey teaches him a cut fastball that comes out of the same arm slot so he has something to keep the hitters honest
  6. Romero has not looked healthy swinging the bat for weeks before he went on the injured list. I believe he got hurt early in the year in the bad weather and has been trying to play through it
  7. From what I can see, he has an inconsistent slider and a poor change up! the kid is 23 years old, might be a little early to say #2 has sailed! if Harrison becomes the closer or 8th inning reliever we desperately need, then I can live with that!
  8. All three Seattle starters are right handed so Anthony and Mayer should play everyday
  9. I think 6th sounds about right until Mayer and Anthony graduate
  10. It looks to me like Valera and Clarke has really good stuff!! But both appear to be injured now. tolle, fitts and early appear to be on a program designed to improve their ability to throw secondary pitches for strikes!!! The better their success in this program will determine if they are relievers or starters in Boston!!!! I think dobbins has been amazing as a rookie this year! He has earned a spot in our rotation with his work so far!!!
  11. In my opinion, substantially improve the hit tool, while chasing less pitches outside the zone when he has 2 strikes!!
  12. Nice list!!! Sadly, I think 25% of your list is currently on the DL!!!!
  13. Detroit really needs a 3B! I am thinking bres-slow can get a top 10 Detroit prospect plus a reliever for Bregman!!!
  14. Harrison is the key to this deal! He has a ceiling of a #2 starter and a floor of a high leverage bullpen guy! The Sox must have seen something with this guy to include him in the trade. my guess is Harrison is at Worcester to learn to throw strikes with his secondary pitches!!! Harrison will be on the same program as tolle fitts and early. Start the game with a your best stuff. Once you settle into a rhythm, on the second time through the opposing lineup, you start throwing secondary pitches almost exclusively!!!
  15. At the trade deadline, I would think bres-slow gets more calls about Chapman than any other player we have on the roster!
  16. He is out performing an expiring contract and teams over pay at the trade deadline for this set of circumstances
  17. Hicks is on the DL now, but I hope he becomes a bullpen guy for us when he returns! And allows us to trade Chapman next month!
  18. Tibbs, ehrhard, Garcia and Castro, we got some serious outfield talent between Worcester and Portland!!!!
  19. Hicks to the bullpen?? Guerrero to Worcester? Can Bailey fix hicks ????
  20. What kind of trade market exists for Bregman???
  21. Duran and pieces gives us an opportunity to acquire a quality starter! If the kids can hit, we are positioned well for long term success
  22. I think Mario lemieux is trying to buy Henry out of the penguins!!!!
