  1. Why does beane continually feed the Yankees on the cheap?
  2. Understatement of the year. The reality is Moreland, pedroia, bogey, Hanley and holt are all playing injured. Nunez and devers are they only healthy ones and a breath of fresh air. But for this team to win, we need the outfielders to get hot and the infielders to contribute more. Mookie and benintendi must come alive!
  3. Shouldn't he be recovered from the broke toe by now?
  4. Reed struggled in Arizona. I am really hoping he does not have the same issues in Fenway.
  5. Is a healthy Nunez better for our team than a wounded pedroia?
  6. If chavis is being moved to first, does that mean desperate dave is not going after hosmer in the offseason?
  7. Ok, we now have reed to pitch the 8th. But reed gives up a ton of fly balls! Fenway is not kind to fly ball pitchers. Let's hope desperate dave did not Screw this up, yet again!
  8. Three quarters of our hitters are zombies! Where's chilli? Something does not add up!
  9. Matta roughed up tonight. He was gold through three, then came the ugly fourth!
  10. Time for mookie to join the party. Quit trying for a moonshot every at bat. Just get on base mookie! Maybe we can get some life out of Moreland, bogey and rest of the zombies.
  11. I am shocked that fister spun as good a game as he did. I doubt he ever comes close to repeating this performance ever again, but wow! What a jolt he gave us tonight. Finally we catch a break. Now we need to build on it, one game at a time.
  12. It is amazing how many infielders have spent time on the dl for us this year. And equally amazing how many are playing hurt! I know pedroia tried to play through it, and was producing, but now that we got Nunez, is it time for pedroia to get healthy. Next we move to bogey. His wrist has to be bothering him. He is too good a hitter to be slick moving this badly.
  13. Amen brother! Bottom line is dave does not have a strategy or plan. He is a fireman, who spends whatever it takes to put out the fire. To put it another way, I think desperate/planless dave has a prison fetish. Because he seems to enjoy getting raped by every guy he deals with and he keeps letting it happen over and over again!!!
  14. Oh by the way, devers had 4 hits tonight! Hello, this is what we should be talking about.
  15. His home runs per nine is rising because his ball is losing life and that makes him a fly ball pitcher in a park that does not like fly ball pitchers,
  16. Doesn't he bat left? The MLB site lists him as a left handed bat. Hosmer's current ops is .874. Way higher than anything we currently have on the roster. If you don't think this is Hanley/Pablo part 2, and we can not get votto, then signing hosmer is an option. he is not the leader in the clubhouse we desperately need, but he is an improvement over Moreland,
  17. As of today votto's ops is 1.008. Not as good as Ortiz, but better than anything we currently have.
  18. Thanks for the report!
  19. Agreed. Barnes did not have it this afternoon and it cost us a game. But the other side of the coin is options were limited. Thornburg and smith have been 8th inning no shows all year. Kelly is hurt. Taylor is hurt. And workman pitched in the 7th.
  20. 1.) I could be wrong, but last time I checked, sale is NOT a one-armed reliever. 2.) cincy is not going anywhere soon. They need pitching and could always use more prospects. I think desperate/planless dave has the ammunition to get a deal done with them. At the end of the day, cincy may decide to keep votto, point is we will not know unless we try.
  21. Moncada is a tremendous powerful athlete. Like pro football athlete. But he pulls his head off the ball when hitting and will always have big strike out numbers. Devers is not nearly the athlete, but has much better mechanics at the plate.
  22. Giving him games as a dh should keep him healthy and producing longer than playing the field everyday in the national league,
  23. I think a guy like votto could be as close to a replacement as possible for Ortiz. Instead of trading for one-armed relievers, desperate/planless dave could have been using prospects for a proven producer like votto.
  24. Kent spun a nice game today!
  25. I turn the sound off when watching and listen to the radio broadcast.
