  1. Cleveland hitters have to be smiling knowing they are facing fister tomorrow. How sad is that!
  2. Wow! Is he a breath of fresh air. He provides energy and power. Fun to see the zombies on the bench jump up like that.
  3. I would love to see dave make a move for a clubhouse leader and on field producer like votto in the offseason, since I doubt Cincy moves him by tomorrow. I could see this guy providing some power, decent average and ops and providing tremendous leadership in the clubhouse. We get him to wake up the zombies that dominate our line up and help us get back to 5.5 runs per game. But because he is desperate/planless dave, we'll probably over pay for another reliever with arm issues.
  4. Barfield with another tater today after hitting two yesterday.
  5. Margot, moncada and devers all with first homers this season.
  6. I think 2016 hitters benefitted by the leadership provided by Ortiz. Now they are going through the motions waiting for someone else to step up. We need that leader to get these under performers to step up their game.
  7. I can't speak 2012, but in 2014 Ben tried to recreate the magic of 2013, but injuries caught up with the team. In 2015, he then went to with youngsters and a few veterans. Unfortunately he never go a chance to finish.
  8. Nunez saves the day!
  9. I take it you do not want to resign Moreland?
  10. Nunez and Vazquez break out tonight and the pitching goes in the toilet!
  11. Wasn't that his debut this season in the rain? He was removed with a lat injury. The biggest issue with groome is control and the lack of velocity on the fastball.
  12. This offseason we need a veteran power hitter to be a leader in the clubhouse. The young veterans need a guy to keep them focused and light a fire if need be.
  13. Devers delivered a clutch hit tonight. Unbelievable that a 20 year old is literally carrying all our hopes for this season. Meanwhile our young veteran hitters are zombies. Thank god for Nunez and devers! Ps: keep chili away from them else they become zombies.
  14. I never saw Thornburg pitch until this spring training and he looked terrible! I know the stats say he had a good season last year, but i also know that much like smith, there was a lot of chatter about potential arm troubles. Yet dave still did the trade and left us gambling on Pablo, a guy in decline for the past four years. Oh my, what a mistake!!!! Will someone please drug test dave!!!!!!
  15. Did we just open up a spot on the 40 man roster with this deal?
  16. If he hates it here that much, my guess is he opts out no matter what after next season.
  17. That's because Larry spent huge on Hanley and Pablo the previous year.
  18. That team was built around depth, redundancy and experience. The luck was how healthy they were. If dave was operating with even a hint of a plan like that, I would not be nearly as adamant about his removal.
  19. Billy needs to hold out for more!
  20. What is it going to take for this offense to put runs consistently on the board? Solid production from the middle of the order? Mookie to get hot? Hanley hitting taters? A trade for a power hitter?
  21. Ortiz heels/archilles were causing him pain, not sure they could have lasted another year. Dave knew Ortiz was leaving and his replacement plan was to move Hanley to dh and sign Moreland. What am I missing here. Now we have a powderpuff lineup. We got more 20 home run guys in the minor league system than in Boston. Somebody needs to send dave packing.
  22. Chavis with another tater today!
  23. We need to send dave to the airport with a one way ticket. 1.) our current lineup has superior starting pitching. A very nice bullpen despite dave's inability to bring in an eighth inning guy. 2.) dave's inability to put together a competent hitting lineup. He left third base in the hands of panda with no backup plan. He put together a powderpuff lineup that has scored two runs or less in a ton of games this year. 3.) the brain drain from the operations department. We have lost a ton of talent and are now left with incompetent "yes" men in the front office. 4.) the devastation of the minor league system. Do not get me wrong, I was all for the trade for sale. Great move by dave. Even the Kimbrel, Pomeranz and Ziegler trades were ok, but expensive. At the end of the day, dave's trade are almost always made in desperation and without a plan. Then add in his need to over pay and you have a perfect nightmare scenario. Which is the what we have now for a minor league system. People can defend dave and talk up the sale trade, but in summary he inherited a plane on the upswing and now it is a plane going down in flames.
  24. Desperate/planless dave is either clueless or loves watching fister put up tons of crooked numbers,
  25. Groome having another rough night.
