And we have Johnson an Velasquez in Pawtucket. And no, our hitting is not good enough to get this team to a World Series. But hopefully Dave makes a deal for a real bat with some pop.
-
Moreland is in a horrible slump and Farrell needs to move him out of the four hole. This is beyond embarrassing. The guy is hitting less than 200 over the past several weeks. Our lineup should start with betts, benintendi, bogey, and then Bradley or Hanley. Get Moreland out of there before he costs us more games. It would be nice to trade for beltre and hit him 4th.

Groome's stuff is electric and is why he is ranked. His curveball might be the best in minor league baseball. At worst #2 behind Giolitto. Over the next three years, he either becomes the next Lester or the next trey ball. Can the Red Sox minor league pitching program produce starters? We are about to find out because matta is also in Greenville. Ps: the Red Sox minor league pitching program knows how to turn #1 draft picks into relievers and houck is the headed down that road. We just may not know it yet?

Ockimey and dalbec with taters tonight.
-
Isn't beltre a free agent at the end of the season?
-
Would the rangers be willing to part with beltre? He could solve the black hole at 3rd and give the youngsters the veteran leadership they so desperately need!
-
I think I would be ok with Travis straight up for Strickland.
-
Mars with a tater tonight.
-
What would the giants want for Strickland?
-
Fister and abad need to join the former Red Sox pitchers club!
-
I do not think hembree has any options left. But I could be wrong.
-
I wish Pablo the best of luck in the future and I am just overjoyed he is not on our team anymore!
-
Benintendi seems to have hit a dry spell lately.
-
3 keys to winning a championship: Pitching Defense Timely hitting Our pitching is pretty good. Our Defense is pretty good, maybe weakest at shortstop. Our hitting is not timely and not getting the job done.
-
Devers with another tater tonight!
-
We need more than a 3rd baseman.
-
Chavis with another tater tonight!
-
Would you include any options for the player to opt out after a certain number of years? They seem to be common place now.
-
GCL Red Sox broke out the bats today. Chatham hit a tater and exited the game early,
-
Price threw a whale of a game tonight. With sale pitching lights out and the three "P"s figuring it out, all we need is to get Rodriguez back to form and we should have a formidable rotation for the rest of the year. If we add a Robertson as the eight inning guy, the bullpen could be special as well, provided abad goes away.
-
Ockimey with a walk off tater tonight.
-
Isn't Frazier only hitting .213?
-
That's is the thinking that with a little velocity kick, his stuff plays better in a limited role and maybe he becomes a 7th or 8th inning lefty.
-
I was thinking we trade for Frazier and Robertson from the white sox for abad and prospects not named Devers. Then trade Kimbrel to the nationals for Robles, Fedde and turner.

Really hope Johnson gets a shot instead of throwing fister back out there. They could always send Maddox back down and bring up Johnson.
