  1. Did we just open up a spot on the 40 man roster with this deal?
  2. If he hates it here that much, my guess is he opts out no matter what after next season.
  3. That's because Larry spent huge on Hanley and Pablo the previous year.
  4. That team was built around depth, redundancy and experience. The luck was how healthy they were. If dave was operating with even a hint of a plan like that, I would not be nearly as adamant about his removal.
  5. Billy needs to hold out for more!
  6. What is it going to take for this offense to put runs consistently on the board? Solid production from the middle of the order? Mookie to get hot? Hanley hitting taters? A trade for a power hitter?
  7. Ortiz heels/archilles were causing him pain, not sure they could have lasted another year. Dave knew Ortiz was leaving and his replacement plan was to move Hanley to dh and sign Moreland. What am I missing here. Now we have a powderpuff lineup. We got more 20 home run guys in the minor league system than in Boston. Somebody needs to send dave packing.
  8. Chavis with another tater today!
  9. We need to send dave to the airport with a one way ticket. 1.) our current lineup has superior starting pitching. A very nice bullpen despite dave's inability to bring in an eighth inning guy. 2.) dave's inability to put together a competent hitting lineup. He left third base in the hands of panda with no backup plan. He put together a powderpuff lineup that has scored two runs or less in a ton of games this year. 3.) the brain drain from the operations department. We have lost a ton of talent and are now left with incompetent "yes" men in the front office. 4.) the devastation of the minor league system. Do not get me wrong, I was all for the trade for sale. Great move by dave. Even the Kimbrel, Pomeranz and Ziegler trades were ok, but expensive. At the end of the day, dave's trade are almost always made in desperation and without a plan. Then add in his need to over pay and you have a perfect nightmare scenario. Which is the what we have now for a minor league system. People can defend dave and talk up the sale trade, but in summary he inherited a plane on the upswing and now it is a plane going down in flames.
  10. Desperate/planless dave is either clueless or loves watching fister put up tons of crooked numbers,
  11. Groome having another rough night.
  12. This is all a reflection of the lack of veteran leadership on this team. We need a power hitting veteran leader really bad!
  13. Could not agree more. Time to move him and abad to the dumpster of their choice. Maybe we can throw dave in as well.
  14. Could not agree more. Bogey is not healthy and not the same hitter since he got beaned in Tampa.
  15. Poor guy, he can not catch a break!
  16. I think bogey, Moreland, Hanley and Pedroia are playing hurt. Benintendi is for all intensive purposes playing his triple a season in Boston and needs to keep adjusting to how he is being pitched. Vazquez and Leon are catching the best pitching staff in the American League. Bradley is pulling his Weight. Betts is Hot or Mia and that is frustrating. Third base has been a black hole. Maybe devers or Nunez bring it to respectability. Reserves, that do not catch, have been injured a ton or ineffective. And yet we are in the think of a pennant race. Amazing! We need Guys to get healthy and hit like we know they can.
  17. Does Castillo need to play everyday in order to hit? Because he is not playing everyday in Boston next year, unless someone gets hurt.
  18. Seems to me bogey needs to spend some time on the dl. Since he got hit in the wrist in Tampa, he is hitting under .200 and looks bad at the plate. Nunez can play short until bogey is healthy and that keeps Devers at third.
  19. Could not agree more. He does not have a put away pitch, but he gets hitters out.
  20. Houck spun a good game tonight!
  21. There are a lot of good things that chavis has learned and done this year. I know the defense will never be spectacular, but once he adjusts, he can hit and hit for a little power. We need this badly. My biggest fear is desperate/planless dave trades him and others off for a reliever that gives us a third of an inning before being carted off for tommy John surgery. Much like the neutered dog desperate/planless dave does not get it.
  22. Delusional Dave is continuing to operate without a plan and just pissed away two prospects for a rental player that provides no power or leadership. Can we please send Dave to the nearest dumpster?
  23. The lack of power on this team is hurting us badly.
  24. Does price opt out after next season if he is still with us then?
  25. Chavis with another tater tonight!
